Historia
It's the final showdown between Cam and a rogue Tahni general.... And it might be the end of everything. Cam and Vicky are chasing down Zan-Thint to his last fortress, a lifeless world deep in Tahni space. If they can't take him down before he activates an ancient alien weapon, a swarm of biomechanical killing machines will wipe out all life in the Commonwealth.

Well, I was hoping good ole Fargo was going to make it through and become one of the inner circle. Too many deaths. Killing her off was my only major disappointment. I had a daydream that her eternal bubbly personality and lack of fear would later be explained. I envisioned her trying to save Cam or Vicky and being injured severely. Only then would we all come to the realization that she was an advanced AI Android. MAN! That would’ve been awesome. This entire series has given me weeks and weeks of entertainment. A lot of what you’ve written paralleled my own military career. Being able to identify with your apt descriptives on Cam’s emotional state during high stress situations drew me into this world you’ve created all the way. It’s bitter sweet ending this story. But you’ve managed to break the “bad ending” curse many Sci-fi stories are plagued by. I’ve read it is because most authors care so much about the worlds they create that it’s impossible for them to figure out a good end point. I like how you’re not saying farewell, but more “until next time we meet”. A tradition among so many service members.
I hope to find out there is more you can tell. I hope to find out your other series are in the same universe-ish as this story line. I hope to be able to read about Captain Covington’s & Tops backstory, all the way up until the Captain sacrifices himself under the dome. I think overlaps are so interesting. When you see or read about a story that you’ve ALREADY heard or read, but this time it’s being told by another member’s perspective…well, that’s just awesome in my book.
Well done Mr. Partlow, and Thank You for raking me on your journey.
Respectfully,
Chief Petty Officer, Bryan K

Historia
Cam is a Marine, not a spy. That’s what he keeps trying to tell Fleet Intelligence. But when he and Vicky signed back up, they agreed to follow orders. And their orders are to keep working for the Corporate Security Force, and find out what the private paramilitary force knows about Zan-Thint's plans to use Predecessor technology against the Commonwealth. Stuck leading a crew of cutthroat mercenaries - who want nothing more than to slaughter the wildcat miners, and take their rhenium ore - Cam and Vicky try to figure out why the Corporate Council is really interested in the mine.

Cam & Vicky at it AGAIN
Revisado: 01-18-23
I was entertained thoroughly with this book. There is realistic continuity but with growth in your main characters. At times I DID find my attention straying a little. It seemed like a pattern was emerging, Cam gets in trouble, Cam saved at the last minute. But, you mixed things up a bit to which I found refreshing. Things were taken to the limits and beyond this time. ***BEWARE SPOILERS***
I am first and foremost very pleased to see Cam building up a supporting cast of friends and team mates. He NEEDS a win in this department and I was psyched that Dunstin & Fargo made it through. For what’s coming next, he’ll need all the Brothers & Sisters he can get. I’m waiting for Cam and his team to be in an impossible situation and have his friend from the past (Briganttia) show up or run into an ex marine that served with Captain Covington. It would be cool for that to get his foot in the door of some impossible scenario. It would be awesome to hear some of the Captains backstory. Pirate wars, or whatever. It feels like he’s in a cyclone this time. Before he had Capt. Covington (R.I.P.) and Lt. Ackley & Scotty. Then he was promoted and he was able to wade through those waters with the lessons he learned from them coupled with his sincere character. However, he is in a world he’s never known, spy craft. Constant deception. He did it in Trans-Angelas, but he HAD to survive. I don’t like his odds if he’s forced to be someone he is not. He’ll do the right thing and this time, he’s distracted with having the love of his life “on his left” so to speak. I’m going to dive right into book eight and see if you can break the curse of the Sci-fi writer with a great ending. Those damned Skrella are pretty terrifying. My hopes are Top will be there more to support him. I know I mispelled a few things, and I hope you will forgive that. I write this review directly to the author. Thank you, for giving me a world to escape into. Those opportunities seem few and far between lately. Keep it up, I can’t help but feel some of the threads in your stories come from personal experiences.

Historia
All Cam Alvarez has known is war. For three years, he’s fought the marauding alien Tahni on one God-forsaken planet after another, leading a squad of armored Drop Troopers. But the war is about to change. Cam is an officer now, fresh out of OCS and taking charge of his old platoon, and things have reached a tipping point. Instead of fighting a desperate holding action against the enemy, the Commonwealth is finally ready to take back the human colonies the Tahni seized early in the war. To free the people the enemy have kept as human shields.

Just Wow…
Revisado: 10-29-22
I started with the first book but accidentally skipped to this (3rd) book and before I realized it, I was hooked. I’ll be going back for 1 & 2 as prequels I suppose. This writer has pace, no unnecessary fat, no jargon. He doesn’t write in a way that screams “I’m smart, see how big the words I use are!?” It’s just good solid writing. The occasional pauses for descriptive explanation drew me in further every time. The more I understood, the more I was right beside Cam & his droppers. Having served a full career in a leadership cast, I identified with Captain Covington’s lessons, and timely words of advice. His mercy when Cam didn’t think he deserved it. It makes a follower devote themselves to you that much more. The authors use of technical explanation for the combat tech, equipment and weaponry was so logical, that it just made sense. When Cam would describe the gun lasers or the suits inter-casualty control displays and alarms, it was like I was listening to actual events that have happened.
I will be reading the series!
Stay hungry RP!
