Historia
A Practical Understanding of God's Love Anamchara's modern version of this classic spiritual work allows twenty-first-century readers the opportunity to learn from Bernard of Clairvaux, one of Christianity's great theologians and mystics. Bernard's spirituality is both robust and positive, offering a timeless analysis of the nature of God—as well as the human impulse to love God—that is as practical and intelligent now as it was in the eleventh century. This careful paraphrase of Bernard's ancient words is a doorway to a fresh understanding of Divine love. "Love," writes Bernard, "is ...

excellent overview of Sufism for modern times
Revisado: 08-05-22
Sheikh Kabir Helminski gives a very in-depth and insightful overview of the essentials of the Sufi path for the modern era. He shows the possibility of what a spiritually integrated person could achieve in their life and for the service of others. Daliah Merzaban's reading of the text is just superb. I hope Audible uses her talents for more audio books.

Historia
The heart is where the human soul and God meet. This is what teachings from Scripture and the mystics reveal: The heart is the temple of God within us, and within the heart, we hold the key to live a truly divine life. But how do we embody the tremendous love available to us, deep in our hearts? In Eternal Heart, Carl McColman, author of The Big Book of Christian Mysticism, invites us to create an optimistic, visionary, and imaginative path to personal happiness and fulfillment.

Historia
The year is 2099 and Professor Nebulous (Mark Gatiss, League of Gentlemen) is the director of eco-troubleshooting organisation K.E.N.T. - the Key Environmental Nonjudgemental Taskforce. But it's so under-funded it subsidises its work by running a launderette. And the twintub's malfunctioned. In a post-apocalyptic England, cattle-clasm has wiped out the majority of the livestock, there are new months such as Octember and Janril, and climate change has formed a drizzly new season called Hamble.

Historia
The Way of Passion draws on the poems of Jalalud-Din Rumi (1207 - 1273) to present a guide to the timeless truth and beauty of Rumi's words. Each chapter, Harvey tells us, is "a dance, a dance of mirrors, in which essential spiritual themes return to be reflected in different constellations and harmonies, a dance around Rumi and that mystery of love he lived and expressed so completely".

Fantastic content but Audio quality is not so good
Revisado: 12-31-16
Would you listen to The Way of Passion again? Why?
Yes and no. Fantastic presentation on Rumi By Andrew Harvey A+++++. Unequaled in its brilliance. But Audio quality ruined by phoenix books with a sloppy job with the digital transfer. good thing I still have my original audio cassettes from the 90's.
What did you like best about this story?
Rumi and Andrew Harvey. You can never go wrong with that combination.
How did the narrator detract from the book?
Andrew Harvey was fantastic but his voice was not allowed to reach its brilliance by phoenix books' sloppy job with the digital transfer.
Any additional comments?
Yes, Audible and phoenix books, please re release this with audio remastered!!!
