Historia
The ratings and views are off the chart. The fans just can't get enough. The dungeon gets more dangerous each day. But in a grinder designed to chew up and spit out crawlers by the millions, Carl and Princess Donut need to work harder than ever just to survive. They call it the Over City. A sprawling, once-thriving metropolis devastated by a mysterious calamity. But these streets are far from abandoned. An undead circus trawls the ruins. Murdered prostitutes rain from the sky. An ancient spell is finally ready to reveal its dark purpose.

honestly at this point if Carl and Donut brought me with them to clean toilets I'd delight in it.

Historia
A man. His ex-girlfriend's cat. A sadistic game show unlike anything in the universe: a dungeon crawl where survival depends on killing your prey in the most entertaining way possible. In a flash, every human-erected construction on Earth - from Buckingham Palace to the tiniest of sheds - collapses in a heap, sinking into the ground. The buildings and all the people inside have all been atomized and transformed into the dungeon: an 18-level labyrinth filled with traps, monsters, and loot.

Historia
Ren Monroe has spent four years proving she’s one of the best wizards in her generation. But top marks at Balmerick University will mean nothing if she fails to get recruited into one of the major houses. Enter Theo Brood. After a failed and disastrous party trick, fate has the two of them crossing paths at the public waxway portal the day before holiday. A fight breaks out. In the chaos, the portal spell malfunctions. All six students are snatched from the safety of the school’s campus and set down in the middle of nowhere. And one of them is dead on arrival.

The summary is a little misleading
Revisado: 06-01-24
I thoroughly enjoyed the twists and turns of this delightful story. The only caution I will give is that this is not an enemies to friends surviving together like the summary suggests. it is a story that leans much more on the horror side of things. The author writes an amazing tale. it's just not quite the one I thought I was getting into and that lead to a little disappointment because of the expectations I went in with but do not feel deterred. I could not put it down. I would recommend this book with the highest praise, just with a slight ly different summary than was chosen. An issue with tone, I think.

Historia
When Murderbot discovers a dead body on Preservation Station, it knows it is going to have to assist station security to determine who the body is (was), how they were killed (that should be relatively straightforward, at least), and why (because apparently that matters to a lot of people - who knew?). Yes, the unthinkable is about to happen: Murderbot must voluntarily speak to humans! Again!

Historia
It has a dark past - one in which a number of humans were killed. A past that caused it to christen itself "Murderbot." But it has only vague memories of the massacre that spawned that title, and it wants to know more. Teaming up with a Research Transport vessel named ART (you don't want to know what the "A" stands for), Murderbot heads to the mining facility where it went rogue.

Murder Bot is as hilarious as they are awkward.
Revisado: 01-05-22
These short novella books are turning out to be quite the riot and the perfect go to for a slow shift. I've immensely enjoyed the tale of an asshole ship playing therapist, a group of impetuous youths thinking they can take o the world and the poor Murder bot exasperated with them both.

Historia
When a planet-destroying Delver suddenly appears in the sky of Detritus and vanishes just as suddenly, FM knows that the last free human society got lucky. Her Skyward Flight companion, Spensa, figured out how to draw this Delver away, but it won’t be so easy next time. The forces of the Galactic Superiority will be back - and if the Defiant Defense Force can’t figure out a way to escape the planet, humanity’s destruction is only a matter of time.

Not really my cup of tea for sci fi but decent
Revisado: 11-28-21
The plot was fantastic, I loved going to Sunreach and the exploration with the different slugs but the romance sub plot was... not my cup of tea. One of my favorite parts of a Brandon Sanderson book is the lack of emphasis on romance so when it does show up its cute rather than annoying.
It was hard to get behind it because all the standard boy crushing on girl body language signs were there but FM misinterpreting it, especially after emphasizing her witnessing Spensa and Jorgans crush, felt... out of place. Especially the WAY she misinterpreted despite knowing the guy was awkward. It felt very contrived rather than natural.
Outside of this, I found the writing style and voice to be delightful. Janci did a wonderful job taking this character and bringing them to life.
My only continuity nit pick was Kimmalyn who felt as if someone had copied and pasted her past dialog in the book. No new original dialog, only old recycled sayings.
Ned, Jorgan, Ontario. These ones all felt well rounded and real. I also found the battle scenes exceptionally well written. Clear.
All in all, not one of my favorite novellas, but any lover of romance will heavily enjoy the work. Strong writing and a powerful flare for character and adorable slugs. FM feels as if she's been brought to life.
