This is easily one of my favorite books, It has such a distinct and nostalgic vibe to me. Cornelia Funke's style of description is very enveloping. This is my favorite of the audios to this series, I wish this reader would have done the whole set rather than changing readers for each book.

If you could sum up Conquest in three words, what would they be?

Oh. My. God.

Any additional comments?

You know, I thought Zombie Fallout was my favorite series thus far by Mr. Tufo and that I wouldn't like any of his other series quite so much. And then I met Indian Hills and D fell into my lap. Sean's reading of the alien characters really add something awesome to the book series and Mark's knack for infusing sarcasm and humor into tense moments really make the tumultuous ride easier to take. Once again, there is no shortage of action and nail biting moments (like Mike's heading back onto the ship with Erlak (not sure of the spelling of his name) and it's so sweet to see the turnaround that this particular book takes in the series. It feels good for Mike to get to the point that he does in this book, considering all that he's been through, thus far, with the aliens. I do like the high note it ends on, but at the same time, you're left with a feeling of "crap's about to hit the fan" mostly because with Mike, crap always hits the fan. It's all good, though. This one is probably my favorite in the series, thus far!

Mark's brought some new twists, which isn't unusual for him, but you should never ask yourself what he could possibly come up with next. He will surprise you every time. I wasn't concerned when Eliza died, because I knew there'd be something else messed up to come along to keep Mike and his family busy and in harm's way. They're that family you hope you don't meet in the zombie apocalypse, but you better pray that you do.

Well....Mike's never gonna be the same again. As I've already finished reading the books and am going back to reviewing them, I remember that was my thought at the end of this particular one. Prepare yourself for this one and the changes in Mike that's about to happen. One of the best things about this book though is the intro of a new character who you can't help but love. Or I couldn't, anyway. Tripp and Mike's interaction, as well as their adventures will keep you entertained for hours. This is easily one of my favorite books in the series, even if the last book's contents made it all bittersweet for me.

I love the flashbacks. I guess they're those things that you either like and don't mind the story being interrupted or you don't like and want the plot to just blast ahead. But for me, it's character growth and I feel like I'm getting to know more and more about these people I've came to feel like are part of my world now. Plus, getting to the end as slowly as possible is something I like. Yes. Drag this story on. Because I don't want it to ever end. The things that Mike gets into and his youth is always something I like hearing about. And I do enjoy hearing about Eliza and Tommy's pasts, as well. This book brought more to life about them and I keep finding myself wondering what the F will happen next!
That being said, man this was a rough book. The end isn't pretty and it probably scarred me for life, especially being a cat lover. I hate Vivian. With a passion. I can't wait for her demise and I hope it's a good one.

I love Mike's brothers. Gary is one of my favorite characters now. Mike's whole family needs to be MY family. I loved the split scenes and dealing with several groups in this book. Tracy just keeps getting better and I love that we get to see a bit more of her in this one. As always, the twists on zombies takes on other dimensions that I haven't came across in other zombie books I've read. At first, I wasn't so sure how I felt about it, but by the end, the developments in the zombies is actually one of my favorite parts, now and I find myself asking what in the world will Mark come up with next.

At first, I was hesitant to listen to this before I jumped on to book number four, but I'm glad that I gave this one a go, first. It's really cool to hear some of the backstory to the virus and discoveries made. This mini-book provides a lot of great information you'll want to know before continuing on with ZF, so don't skip over it!

Which character – as performed by Sean Runnette – was your favorite?

It's hard to find a fave. Mike, of course, is at the top of the list, but I love the job he does with BT, as well. He's great with Eliza, Tomas...hell, all of them!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

You want to, of course, but sometimes it gets intense and you just need a minute or day to catch your breath

Any additional comments?

I love Porkchop and it was hard not to cook pork chops the entire time I was reading this.

Would you listen to A Plague Upon Your Family again? Why?

Would and have.

What was one of the most memorable moments of A Plague Upon Your Family?

You want me to list just one? Impossible.

What does Sean Runnette bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Mike comes alive through Sean. Seriously no better reader for this character and others in the series.

Any additional comments?

When you start listening to ZF, be prepared to buy them one right after another. Waiting is impossible. You just want to keep diving in.
