Historia
Narrator Dan Stevens ( Downton Abbey) presents an uncanny performance of Mary Shelley's timeless gothic novel, an epic battle between man and monster at its greatest literary pitch. In trying to create life, the young student Victor Frankenstein unleashes forces beyond his control, setting into motion a long and tragic chain of events that brings Victor to the very brink of madness. How he tries to destroy his creation, as it destroys everything Victor loves, is a powerful story of love, friendship, scientific hubris, and horror.

It took so long to get to the points
Revisado: 07-16-22
The whole book was so melodic. All of the characters spoke in the same temple and tone. I barely limped though it. It could have been better perhaps with a different reader……. maybe. Hopefully i can return it.

But he soon finds that without meaning to, he complicates and then endangers the lives of everyone he comes to know and care about. For when it comes to magic, there are rules and laws, and the untrained mage-to-be must be careful not to tap into deep forces and ancient enmities. Otherwise, other people might end up paying the price for his mistakes.

Good story line except for the excessive wars
Revisado: 05-15-22
Excellent storyline but it was a little too much murdering of main characters. I liked the characters and their rolls they played. I was able to over look the things I did not like for example Alia coming in the picture from know where. I didn’t like how the bad guys was giving so much power but that actually kept it so interesting. I enjoyed how Gui had to develop into his power to fight against the enemy. Although he was a God he lived as a human and was very humble. He required the assistance of his friends to avoid getting killed by his foes that was stronger than him. I didn’t like the dying and coming back crap and how others would go into this other world to bring certain people back from death or near death but it was enough other scenes for me to overlook this and continue to enjoy the book.
I absolutely love this narrator. He’s always awesome. I deliberately buy books when I see him as the narrator.

So many unanswered questions
Revisado: 11-20-21
There was too many unanswered questions. A lot of things just didn’t add up. The mystery was never solved. The only hint around the solution to it. He never found out if the girls sister was really dead or who actually did the murder so this was not a book that was satisfied. Nervous I started to quit but it’s difficult for me to stop something I started. I would not recommend this book to do anymore. However I’ve always been a fan of this author. It’s nothing like anything

Historia
This is the way the world ends...for the last time. It starts with the great red rift across the heart of the world's sole continent, spewing ash that blots out the sun. It starts with death, with a murdered son and a missing daughter. It starts with betrayal, and long dormant wounds rising up to fester. This is the Stillness, a land long familiar with catastrophe, where the power of the earth is wielded as a weapon. And where there is no mercy.

Good but To much death and sadness
Revisado: 10-11-21
It had a lot of mystery and unfairness to my favorite characters. The story never got back to important parts like the girls that was thrusted in to trying out to her first ring prematurely as a punishment.
