Totally absorbing, a book of sheer determination, encouragement and motivation proving all is possible.
Full of emotion that packed a punch and pulled on heart strings, there were so many times I felt like I wanted to reach into the book and give the characters a hug.

At one point during the party, Alessandra said, “There’s nothing like a girl’s first love.” I knew she was talking about the first smash hit by my band, 22 Goats. Alessandra said it was the first song she’d heard by us and it “hit her like a ton of bricks”. Ironic, seeing as how I was having the same reaction from being in her presence.

I must say I really enjoy books written by Lily Morton and matched with the narration of Joel Leslie seems to be the perfect combination. The story grabs you and holds on until the end. You feel immersed in the story and can feel the emotion the characters are feeling. Loved it!

I just loved this book, loved the witty humour throughout, a storyline that wasn't obvious and just a refreshingly different listen. Joel was totally amazing and definitely bought these characters to life!
