the book provide a nice checklist of things to consider when planning and conducting a meeting.
unfortunately, it does very little in providing examples and fully addressing key issues around problems that make meetings difficult or unproductive

A smart, educational way to look at conversations
Revisado: 03-06-09
I found this audio to provide me with a completely new way to look at how people communicate with one another.
The audio breaks down conversations into three distinct areas and how each contribute to success (or failure) of effectively communicating with another person.
I have used the techniques in this audio daily in my conversations and have been amazed at how much more I have learned about my friends, family and co-workers.

We've all encountered them: the bullies, the wet blankets, the yea-sayers that never come through. More often than not, we're left fumbling for words, stumbling toward the door...frustrated, enraged or just plain depressed.

Entertaining and Informative

While some of the scenarios may be slightly outdated for today's business environment, the techniques are still valid and useful today.
One fun note while listening was that I quickly found traits about myself that can be considered "difficult" to others and ways that I can look at improving myself.

No new news here

The points in this book are the same as a high school writing class on how to write a paragraph.
The entire book is a little more than a marketing approach to how to convey your thoughts in the same way you would write a good memo.
Good for learning the basics, by nothing new to learn here.

A great insight into the concepts of reaching new goals and changing thoughts (your own and others) by focusing on key behaviors. Actionable techniques are presented in an engaging narration.
Since listening to this book, I have noticed how more productive my conversations have become simply by focusing on the key areas described in this book.
This book on my list of favorites.
