A good continuation of the story
Revisado: 08-03-24
i enjoyed this one and I also appreciated the author letting me know ahead of time that it was broken into two parts. The return to earth is interesting and I am looking forward to where the story is going with this,. Th cliffhanger was expected but I really wanted to know now. Another great installment in the He Who Fight's With Monsters.

I Love Jack Nightingale but he needs to step up
Revisado: 04-07-23
I have loved Jack since he was told he was going to die. He has survived numerous outings and even some if you like me have read the short stories. I believe its time he started being harder, meaner and able to take out the bad guy or two ahead of time or even a lot of them at once. I love Jack I love the performer and noone can do it better than Paul Thornley. We have had over ten books of demons and one possible angel. I know its time that the right hand path got sick of what is going on and started showing up. I want to see Proserpine crap her proverbial goth girl outfit when possibly Gabriel or Michael showed up to put stop to a deal. The demons take the free agency away and the right hand path has been silent, I really want to see them show up.
For what you really want
Was the purchase worth it, Hell yes, Jack is Jack and great, Paul Thornley is the best. The story was good and gripping with several difficult situations. If you love Jack you'll love this one, if you have not read Jack this book is great but not the one to start with. Too many topics relating to the past that are not necessary but add the needed flavor to the story.
Would I recommend this in a heartbeat at full price. Well worth and I hope Jack keeps coming but like I said earlier I would like to see some of the right hand path start showing up,
Thank you Jack and Joshua for doing what you.

If you like Gore Porn this is for you.
Revisado: 02-24-23
I love a good supernatural or scary story. My library is full of them from Dracula to Stephen King's Fairy Tale. This story is along the lines of I spit on your grave. You are taken to a land where bad things happen to everyone and the worst offenders are given a dose of punishment., The punishment is given in extreme detail and it is over the top gore. I love a good revenge to but I do not need thirty minutes of details of how things are done. If you like a very Sadistic detailed gruesome Gore Story this is for you, not judging, if your looking for a supernatural thriller or a horror story this is not for you. I am sure there are a lot of people who will enjoy this I am not one of them so remember forewarned is forearmed . The narrator though is awesome loved his reading, his change of characters and they way he delivered the story. He is excellent and I would try other books just off of his narration. He is great!

Irresistibly drawn to mysteries, if only to debunk them, reporter Lionel Page exposes supernatural frauds, swindlers, and charlatans. His latest case is an obsession—at least for an ancient and wealthy heiress: verify the authenticity of a lost Edgar Allan Poe manuscript circulating through New York City’s literary underworld. But the shrewd Regina Dunkle offers more than money. It’s a pact. Fulfill her request, and Lionel’s own notorious buried past, one he’s been running from since he was a child, will remain hidden.

The story is fun but makes you question if Hecate is real then where is Zeus and the others. Best part the narrator. Her voice is smooth and pleasant. Enjoyable to listen too. Will be looking at other books she has done. Go with this one of you enjoy sci-fi. Fantasy or mythology this is a great series.

Nice to read a good thriller from Stephen King
Revisado: 08-17-21
First let me say this is not a horror story, nor is it a supernatural story.
The story is well laid out and well written. I was engrossed from the beginning trying
to figure out where we going and I enjoyed the ride. The reader took a minute to get used to
but his style fit the book and went well with the lead character. I would recommend this one but go in
knowing there is no supernatural or horror story here just a great thrill ride with a mystery to
to solve.

WOW what a pile of dung
Revisado: 11-17-19
What a pile of dung, I have been a member for years and listened to over 100 books and this was the worst. This book could not get down on its knees and worship the FBI fast enough, it took good characters threw them away. The listen was so frustrating that I had to stop for long periods and then out of a sense of fortitutde listen to the end. WOW this was garbage. I WILL NEVER listen to a book by these authors again, it was so bad. I would hav eenjoyed reading the dictionary more than listening to this book. What a wasted premise, what a wated story arc, WOW again the WOW I am so amazed at how bad this was. If I had watched this at a theater I would be demanding my money back. This was the worst book I have ever listened to and I can say the worst book I have ever read. I am going to go read Dr. Seuss just so I can get a feel for something, anything better. To say I hated this book is an understatement I wish I could give it a zero stars in every chatagory. Please do not receomend a book from these authors too me, do not send me notice when they have a new title I want my life back from listening to this complete wast of my life. I am getting my shovel to remove the dung from my iphone.

When Lily Jacobs was born, she inherited Fazire - a genie. Her family had three wishes and they'd only ever used one so Fazire was stuck in the human world. This worked since he'd become a member of the family anyway. Even with a genie, Lily's young life wasn't perfect. To escape the kids making her miserable at school, Lily buried herself in romance novels. One day, when the teasing was just too much, she used one of her wishes.

looking to replace a harlequin novel
Revisado: 03-08-18
The performance was great. The story is a chick flick on steroids and I could not handle it. I am sorry I tried but after so much I had to say no more. the premise was promising, the other reviews suggest I listen to it and I did. Sorry, good writing, good story telling just not for me. If you want to read a romance with soft porn this is for you. If you are looking for mystery, intrigue and a real powerful genie-this is not for you.

Not Horror, not supernatural, just a manipulation
Revisado: 10-02-17
I saw this as one of the best supernatural books on several websites. They were wrong. No supernatural, Just someone's really bad vacation in India. The protagonist is slow on the uptake and makes continually really bad decisions. The end is so awful that it is out of a modern tall tale from the Mexican border crossing with a drug cartel. Just awful, do not read this. This book will not make you think, this book will not scare you, this book will not make you wonder what might be out there-no it will only leaving feeling bad. Run as fast as you can from this book

A year in the life, not again
Revisado: 09-28-17
I listened to this book with my son who is in fifth grade. Almost all of the issues facing our protagonist face most people at some time and the use of his deformity is only a basis to sympathize with him without having to develop a reason why. I did not enjoy the story, nor did my son. I thought the voice actors did really well and carried the story along and developed their characters well. But I do not nor do I ever want to relive junior high again. This was a repeat of junior high with a good feeling happy ending. I am sorry but not what I am looking for in a book. If you enjoy a year in the life stories this is for you, if you want more from your literature then I would recommend something else.
