Kale Williams does a spectacular job dividing the two MC and their backgrounds. Of course the mystery is fabulous but I expect nothing less from this amazing Author-with a capital A. First in a series of 5 I can't wait to listen to #2!

Interesting premise...kept me going

I enjoyed this title immensely- I just had a hard time following the whos in the very beginning, but once I understood that we were switching MCs narrators it made a lot more sense. I really liked how the author tied all the women together, Narrator was decent, I had wanted a bit more difference between characters for ease of listening. All in all a very enjoyable story to listen to. Will continue to follow this author.

I love Chloe Archer's Tentacular Tales series and this is tentacular adjacent....😆Her writing is wonderful, world building amazing and her ACRONYM's are to die for- laughing 🤣 that is.
Greg Boudreaux makes every character sound unique AND HE SINGS!! It was awesome. You don't need to read the other series, this book's plot stands alone, but please do as it is amazing and makes the end even funnier.

Dash does it again....!!

Book 4 is another great mystery. Each story has a separate mystery that the MC, Dashiell Dawson Dane (Dash),is "talked" into solving. Each book gives us a better glimpse into all the characters that make up The Last Picks family and each narration by Andrew Gibson cements them into my heart.
This is #4 in a planned 12 book cosy mystery series all revolving around Dash and his merry band of Last Picks. All stories have been fabulous and listening to them really brings home the nuances of speech and character from the novels.
Start at Book #1 Mystery Magnet and get lost in Hemlock House (class V haunted mansion!!!) and Hastings Rock-I HIGHLY recommend it!!

Whoops he found another....dead body.

Poor poor Dash, he just can't seem to NOT see kinda sorta maybe a murder and have the body fall at his feet....kinda sorta. Book 3 continues to delve into the lives of the Last Picks gang. We learn more about Deputy Bobby and his life while experiencing Dash's continuing social anxiety. Basically Dash is a hot mess that you simultaneously want to slap and hug. How he manages to sort through all the twists and turns that Gregory Ashe devised, and solve the mystery is definitely what keeps me invested.
Andrew Gibson is a delight in giving all these characters their own voices, I adore listening to his nuances in vocal tenor.
I find that with the release of the audible version close to the book, I notice more details than when I just read the book itself since the story is fresher in my mind. Can't wait for the rest!!

Unique Story!

I was attracted to the premise and did enjoy the story. It took a bit to get going but once it did I highly enjoyed it. The narrators did well, I loved Olivetti. Deals with a hard topic, but really digs deep into the family dynamics. All in all a good story. Highly recommend.

This week hasn’t gone the best for me unless you count Casimir, the sexy ancient vampire, bringing me back from the brink of death (and tying my fate to his in the process). Not that it matters if the werewolves and vampires don’t stop their ridiculous feud, because someone is targeting them and widening the divide between our communities with each body they leave in their wake. But as the alpha’s son, I have a plan to fix everything. I’m going to convince Casimir to fake date me to show the others that we can work together. I mean… what could go wrong?
