I liked the concept of two different species sharing a world, but it could use some expansion in cultured and somehow an explanation on how a monkey, ( no insult intended) and a cat were able to create a hybrid. Sorry, but no matter how the rest of the story unfolded that kept bugging me.

Gives a small,( tiny) window into what ancient Asia might have been like.
love the intrigue and combat theories, plus the world build was so great, one could almost see it out the window

needs more voices for a full dramatic reading to give it justice

the horror of the TACO FAIRY!

I loved this book;
I can relate to the main hero character; who hasn't been trapped into working a customer service job, been treated like slave labor by your boss and customers, with nothing but the hope that it won't get worse.
Grimsby is very good as a hero in training, but Mayflower is a great hero who's glory is slowly fading away. He reminds me of Clint Eastwood/Chuck Norris after the cameras stop filming.
I love the way the narrator almost losses it when he gets to the part about the "Taco Fairy" uniform: pink tutu and taco wings. Only a true hero could wear that in public with any amount of dignity

I love these books, it makes the cold of space a challenge/aventure for everyday people. this book in the series nearly broke my heart.
