Historia
Conceited, unattainable, and downright delicious, renowned Michelin-starred chef Ambrose Casablancas has one passion in life: food. Women are a distraction, and he doesn’t do those. Especially Cal Litvin, his baby sister’s best friend. Her entire existence is a complication; she’s awkward, eccentric, infuriating… And, much to his chagrin, hotter than his kitchen. Ambrose has a lot on his plate: a new restaurant to open, a multi-million-dollar property deal to execute, and a violent stalker to tame. Then Cal shows up at his doorstep.

Audio performance is Dual narration, but I was so into the story that I didn't even notice until I was half way through.
Both narrators did amazing!
The story is SO good. I loved this audio/book and will 100% re-listen/re-read in the future! Row is truly the ultimate book husband.

Historia
Help Wanted: Grumpy Mountain Man seeks baby momma. Job is an incubator position only. Surrogate must be impervious to grunting in the form of communication and nosey brotherly neighbors. Rustic mountain range housing available upon request. I wanted to pummel my irritating brothers when they posted their own version of a wanted ad to help me with my life. But I can’t fault the results once the right woman lands on my lap. Becoming a single father is not a decision I made lightly. In fact, it’s the biggest decision of my entire life.

PERFECT.
Revisado: 09-01-24
I loved everything about this book.
The narration was amazing. A duet with Teddy and Erin? Power couple. They're perfect. This book was perfect. 10 stars, will be buying a physical copy, and will listen again soon.
Plus-sized FMC and he LOVES it.
Pregnancy, obviously.
Possessive/Protective MMC.
The found family trope in this was the some of the best I've ever seen. I cried twice.
All the animals.
Amazing side characters, and the twist in to Amy's other book THREW ME. Idk how it took me so long to get it, but I loveddd it.
Just read the book. Listen to it. Use a credit. Buy it. Just do it, you'll love it.

Which is why when I interview Trista, I know she’s perfect.

OH. MY. GOD.
This is the first audio I've listened to with Nia Serge. And ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! HER VOICE. 🔥 It was sooo perfect for Sia. Such a soothing tone, I could listen to her read a shopping list and be happy.
Logan is fantastic always. Absolutely no complaints with either narration performance.
This is Dual POV, but both performers did great with both the male and female voices. I was never taken out of the story or thrown off by that.
NOW. THE BOOK ITSELF.
Taking place 20 years after book 1.
I love this world so much. So happy you get to see Hades and Persephone again in chapter one.
*If you haven't read book 1, that's fine. You find out the general backstory of the FMC in chapter one of this book anyway, so you don't NEED to read it, but it was also fantastic, and I recommend it.*
Low spice, but so swoony.
Strong plot and strong romance.
I loved seeing all the names and twists from mythology.
I loved the MCs so much!
Favorite quotes:
"Those kinds of scars don't just go away. No amount of love is enough to heal them. The nightmares don't stop just because someone who loves you holds you at night. The anger doesn't go away."
*I sobbed*
"I am because you are."

Historia
After twenty years, the cracks in Lauren Reed’s marriage are showing. She and her husband, Jack, feel more like roommates than a loving couple. What they have in common are two wonderful teenagers, Michael and Maddie, and the same wistful question: When did it all go wrong? Now that Lauren’s decided to get on with her life—alone—divorce is inevitable. Not to the kids. They aren’t giving up so easily.

My new Roman Empire.

I read this in one sitting.
It had me sobbing in bed at 4am, just feeling grateful for my life. I didn't even finish the damn thing until 630am.
I'm not even exaggerating. 😂
If you're a SAHM, feeling unappreciated by your spouse, went through a divorce with an ex who didn't appreciate you, or just don't have a perfect marriage (cause who does after 20 years?!) this book will have you REFLECTING.
I loved this book.
I love Adriana Locke in general, but this... This book was incredible.
Maybe it's because it pulled at my heartstrings, and I was able to relate so much to the characters, idk. But I'm going to be thinking about this book for a LONG time.
It was SO REAL, which I don't usually care for in books, but this was just so spot on at certain times. I feel like I'm just repeating myself in this review, but I have no other words.😂 It's just good.
Read it. 100% recommend. Come back and let me know if you also cried lol.
*Side note*
As of right now, this is on KU and if you have an Audible account, you can also listen to it for free! I listened to some of it as I was reading along and the narration is amazing!
