Historia
The cause of the devastation is a phenomenon that will come to be known as The Pulse, and the delivery method is a cell phone. Everyone's cell phone. Clay and the few desperate survivors who join him suddenly find themselves in the pitch-black night of civilization's darkest age, surrounded by chaos, carnage, and a human horde that has been reduced to its basest nature...and then begins to evolve.

Classic King
Revisado: 08-28-06
As a fan of Stephen King I can say this one is classic King. I wished he had continued the story a bit longer but I thought it was a overall fun listen. Great premise & story.

Historia
Dr. Francis Collins, head of the Human Genome Project, is one of the world's leading scientists, yet he is also a man of unshakable faith in God and scripture. Dr. Collins has resolved the dilemma that haunts everyone who believes in God and respects science. Faith in God and faith in science can be harmonious, not separately but together, combined into one worldview. For Collins, science does not conflict with the Bible, science enhances it.

Drink the evolution kool-aide
Revisado: 07-24-06
I have no doubt that the author is both sincere in his beliefs and very likable but this is a likable christians sales pitch for evolution. He dismisses "perceived gaps" in the fossel record with no elaboration. Says that the most complex biological structures can be explained through Darwinian evolution and dismesses parts of the bible that undermine his beliefs as alagory. He is surely an expert on the humnan Gnome and a scientist but as for those things spirtial he seems to be gasping for things that will combine his two competing ideaologies.
The authors explaination of God creating a world and leting random mutations and evolution create the outcome seems to me to be a build it and forget it kit for God.
The first 1/2 discussion of the human Gnome was interesting but the evolution rehash left me flat.
Not a bad listen but not what I had hoped for.

Historia
Godless is the most explosive audiobook yet from number one New York Times best-selling author Ann Coulter. In this completely original and thoroughly controversial work, Coulter writes, "Liberals love to boast that they are not 'religious', which is what one would expect to hear from the state-sanctioned religion. Of course liberalism is a religion.

Fun, Funny, Dead on
Revisado: 06-13-06
If your a fan then this book is for you. If your a liberal, tread carefully. Possibly the most entertaining of all Ann's work, she takes her usual sharpened pen and simply let's the liberals stab themselves with it. While I enjoyed the entire book her section demonstrating the lefts hopeless fascination with Darwinism is dead on. Look out for the fundamentalist label. I can't wait for her next book. Definitely worth the download.

Historia
Best selling author (and former pastor) Randy Alcorn is back with a riveting tale from the dark side - a tale of intercepted tapes containing classified material from the Tyrant, never intended for human ears. Read by Frank Muller, this is among "the most unusual and important inquiries into the demon mind."

Fun- thoughtful
Revisado: 02-23-06
I have listened to hundreds of hours of audio books and this could be the easiest yet. The book is well written and the performance of the narrator made the listen fun and thoughtful. Lord Foulgrin's comments to his hated minions are like a mirror for the Christian listener. His battle plan for the destruction of any and every human is both humorious and disturbing. Give it a listen and see if you see yourself anywhere.
