Historia
A soldier, former member of Congress, and a presidential candidate, Tulsi loves her country: "I answered the call of duty and took an oath, dedicating my life to supporting and defending those freedoms, both in uniform and in public office. I became a Democrat when I ran for office because I saw them as a party that stood up for the little guy and against the interests of big business and warmongers. I remained a Democrat for twenty years, albeit with an independent streak." Today that party is unrecognizable.

Historia
In today's throwaway culture, there's a counter movement growing that urges us to 'make do and mend'. The Repair Shop has brought this waste-conscious message to an even wider audience, with its regular viewing figures of seven million in the UK alone, cementing itself as a classic series in the vein of Antiques Roadshow. This new book concentrates on the show's much-loved experts. Each of the experts shares their own stories and their repairs, capturing in the process the magic and ethos of the barn.

Meeting old friends
Revisado: 02-10-25
As an avid fan of the show The Repair Shop, it was nice to learn the backgrounds of the craftsmen I’ve come to love. The show is so easy paced, the stories are heartfelt and the attention to what the customer wants is great. It’s emotional, you almost feel the same love for an item. These are true craftspeople, and the world is a better place with them in it, to maintain treasured keepsakes.

Historia
Seventeen-year-old Lenni Pettersson lives on the Terminal Ward at the Glasgow Princess Royal Hospital. Though the teenager has been told she’s dying, she still has plenty of living to do. Joining the hospital’s arts and crafts class, she meets the magnificent Margot, an 83-year-old, purple-pajama-wearing, fruitcake-eating rebel, who transforms Lenni in ways she never imagined. As their friendship blooms, a world of stories opens for these unlikely companions who, between them, have been alive for one hundred years.

As Lenni faces her upcoming death alone, she finds friends and love in the most unusual place. To live a lifetime in the matter of months. To be loved by friends she never had.
Sweet, touching, funny, and heart breaking. What a wonderful ride.
I will recommend to everyone.

Many know Kimberly Williams-Paisley as the bride in the popular Steve Martin remakes of the Father of the Bride movies, the calculating Peggy Kenter on Nashville, or the wife of country megastar Brad Paisley. A must read for anyone who is dealing with being a caregiver to an aging parent. Dementia is a terrible thief.
