Well done in every way

I have listened to hundreds of historical fiction novels, and have listened to this series in chronological order. Bernard Cornwell is among the few best in this genre. This book was well read, had intriguing and complex battle strategy and all the drama and heroism that I crave. I really enjoyed hearing that Captain Sharpe finally took a bath.

bumbling and immature special forces

I have not been in the military, but I would think that elite special space forces wouldn't whine as much as these people did and respect their superior officers more. In addition, the characters made way to much uneccessary casual small talk during serious situations. That ruined it for me. I will not listen to any more books by this author.
