Revisado: 01-25-25
Every woman in this book has had heartbreaking and shocking stories of persecution and tragedy, but also of how God faithfully made a way for them and used their willingness to serve others and serve Him. Fantastic!!!

A beautiful story & a beautiful reminder
Revisado: 11-03-24
This was a great story, although sometimes a hard thing to listen to because it was often sad. But it really was a beautiful reminder to cherish those you love, and although nothing lasts, love is worth the pain we will eventually feel because of loss.

Excellent book and great narration. My only complaint is that each chapter is short, but that just encourages me to read further books on each of these remarkable ladies.

Great narration; good story; terrific reminder; very annoying character
Revisado: 02-06-24
Ok, Kara is an absolutely aggravating and completely annoying character, particularly after age 13. But the point of the story is undeserved grace, and that isn't lost on me. It is a perfect view of how incredibly stupid, willful, and stubborn we humans are, and how easily and willingly we fall for the enemy's lies.
Great narration performance.

On a May afternoon in 1943, an Army Air Forces bomber crashed into the Pacific Ocean and disappeared, leaving only a spray of debris and a slick of oil, gasoline, and blood. Xanthe has always had an affinity with some of the antiques she finds. When she touches them, she can sense something of the past they come from and the stories they hold. When she has an intense connection to a beautiful silver chatelaine, she has to know more. It is while she’s examining the chatelaine that she’s transported back to the 17th century, where it has its origins. She discovers there is an injustice in its history.
