Historia
They were a perfect and beautiful family - until a heartbreaking tragedy shattered their happiness. Now, for the sake of an inheritance that will ensure their future, the children must be hidden away out of sight, as if they never existed. They are kept in the attic of their grandmother’s labyrinthine mansion, isolated and alone. As the visits from their seemingly unconcerned mother slowly dwindle, the four children grow ever closer and depend upon one another to survive both this cramped world and their cruel grandmother.

Wonderful story telling from V.C. Andrews. I feel like I know each character so intimately. This book, in my opinion, isn’t for for children.

Historia
The setting is the Georgia wilderness, where the state's most remote white-water river awaits. In the thundering froth of that river, in its echoing stone canyons, four men on a canoe trip discover a freedom and exhilaration beyond compare. And then, in a moment of horror, the adventure turns into a struggle for survival as one man becomes a human hunter who is offered his own harrowing deliverance.

Deliverance by James Dickey
Revisado: 02-06-18
Deliverance seems timeless, as I couldn't tell it was written in the 70's. It was beautifully descriptive. It was different than I expected, but it was a really good listen and enjoyable. It is not the most fast-paced due to the descriptive nature of James Dickey. Will Patton slayed at narrating! Excellent performance.

Tiny Tim, Bob Cratchit, and Ebenezer Scrooge come to marvelous life in Patrick Stewart's critically-acclaimed solo interpretation of A Christmas Carol. The star of X-Men and The Royal Shakespeare Company, Stewart has performed his one-man stage production of this holiday classic to sell-out audiences.

Perfect Narration for a Classic

Of course, most of us know the story and it is a beautiful one. I cried 2 or 3 times. I just wanted to comment on how amazing this narrator was. You won't be disappointed in this listen.

Historia
Eric didn't ask to be a vampire. In fact he didn't even believe in them. Biting your own tongue with your fangs does a lot of convincing. Even so, being a part-time undead isn't as easy as you might think. It can let you hold down a day job, true, but sometimes the night "life" can be more than a little difficult, what with those bloodthirsty urges and predatory instincts kicking in.

Witty and Smart
Revisado: 12-08-17
Narration was on point. The quirky humor was the best part of this listen. Honestly, the ending was more than a bit lacking, but it is understandable that the author wants to get the reader anticipating the next book in the series. Overall, this was good. It took me weeks to finish, so it wasn't the most addictive story. I am on the fence as far if I want to purchase the next book. I guess it depends on the reviews. :)

Historia
Emperor Wray Vasteri was the ruler of the Tornian Empire. His house had ruled the empire ever since the great infection, which struck over 500 years ago, and he feared he would be the last. The number of compatible females was dwindling faster than anyone knew. If they could not find compatible females soon, their entire civilization would cease to exist. It was the reason he agreed to meet with Liron, the emperor in Kaliszian space.

Good, but not much different from Tornian Book 1
Revisado: 09-06-17
One thing that was different from Book 1 was that there were more sound effects and more voice variety, which I very much enjoyed. But the plot and the two main characters mirrored, in most ways, to those in Book 1 (Grim & Lisa). The story is still really good and the plot differed than Book 1's plot. Bottom line, if you enjoyed "Grim," then you will like "Wray." If you did not enjoy Book 1, then I would not recommend Book 2... but then again, you probably wouldn't be reading my review if you didn't like "Grim."

Meet Ove. He's a curmudgeon - the kind of man who points at people he dislikes as if they were burglars caught outside his bedroom window. He has staunch principles, strict routines, and a short fuse. People call him "the bitter neighbor from hell". But behind the cranky exterior there is a story and a sadness.

I really adore this story. It's one of those that will keep replaying in your mind for many days upon completion. My only regret is that I waited so long to read it! The intimacy between the reader and the characters is at that perfect balance. You will not regret reading A Man Called Ove.

If I could give 10 stars, I would. I laughed, I cried....a lot. ...I facepalmed, I cheered, I just didn't put it down.. I couldn't! I was not disappointed with this story. It was as gripping as I expected it to. I think it was even a little bit sexier and spicier than I had expected. On to Book 4!!

I Recommend this book!!!
Revisado: 02-23-17
I loved it so much that I finished it in less than 24 hours. I did read the previous book first (Halfway to the Grave) and I just had to read this one. ...immediately. The accents that the narrator did were spot on! I am a Tavia Gilbert fan now. I recommend this to all, especially for those who like a hot vampire story.

Heart Warming with Narrative Perfection
Revisado: 02-10-17
I love this story. I realize it is categorized under Children's Books, And I remember reading it as a child and all I remembered is that I loved it. So, I downloaded the audiobook last week, and upon finishing it, I feel as though I can appreciate the sentiments so much more as an adult. What a feel good story. And the narration was perfection at its peak. The Yorkshire accents put a smile on my face at least a dozen times throughout the book. The Secret Garden is a classic that must be experienced through the narration of Josephine Bailey! She is brilliant!

The debut psychological thriller that will forever change the way you look at other people's lives. Every day the same. Rachel takes the same commuter train every morning and night. Every day she rattles down the track, flashes past a stretch of cozy suburban homes, and stops at the signal that allows her to daily watch the same couple breakfasting on their deck. She’s even started to feel like she knows them. Jess and Jason, she calls them. Their life - as she sees it - is perfect. Not unlike the life she recently lost.

Slow Starter
Revisado: 01-26-17
The story was definately slower than my preference, however, I did finish it in less than 48 hours. It was a good story. I was not on the edge of my seat and it didn't get my adrenaline going until the very end, but I was interested and invested in it. The narration was good, too.
