well done
Revisado: 01-23-04
This is my first book by this author and I enjoyed it very much. I was impressed the narrator pronounced the medical terms so well. My only beef was that the character did some things that seemed pretty unbelievable but overall a great book. I'll read more of Kellerman.

lotsa lotsa lotsa
Revisado: 12-16-03
Lotsa vulgarity. Lotsa obsenity. Lotsa blasphemy. Lotsa nonsensical dribble. Lotsa disjointed verbal diarrhea. Lotsa filler. Lotsa time wasted listening to it. Perhaps the worst book I've ever tried to listen to. I fell asleep a couple of hours and didn't miss much!

Historia
The latest from the author of When the Wind Blows and Kiss the Girls reveals Patterson at the peak of his power and is easily his most dynamic and compelling psychological thriller to date. Here is a chilling villain, a love story of great tenderness, and a plot of relentless suspense and heart-pounding pace.

So So Book-ahhhhhh
Revisado: 12-05-03
I thought the plot was good and characters were interesting. I didn't think this is one of his best. My main complaint was the narrator. I had a hard time listening because he finished his sentences was a annoying ahhhhhhh. Good book-ahhhhhhh. Bad narrator-ahhhhhh. I recommend it if you can put up with the ahhhhhs.

PI is NOT 3.14
Revisado: 11-14-03
I am amazed so many found this book "magical". I found it replete with newage bombastic pontifications of philosophic pomposity coupled with supercilious boring repetition which leads me to think he was paid by the word! It was as if he regurgitated everything he could think of about everything he talked about. Next time I read "stick it out and you will be rewarded in the end", I will rather listen to my gut feelings...don't waste your time. PI is not 3.14 but a 1.0! The only good thing about this book was that it ended and that was a long tedious time coming.

No lie, it is a stinko-PU
Revisado: 11-03-03
On a scale of bad to worse this nearly tops the list. Boring characters and a plot that just stopped! I felt robbed of the time I wasted listening to it. My mind wandered as I listened and it didn't seem to matter.

Isn't it Lucky!
Revisado: 10-16-03
I enjoy reading mysteries and detective novels. James Patterson is one of my favorite authors and I have read several of his books. As I began to listen to Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas my first impression was, "what is a mystery writer doing writing a "girly" book?" But as I listened I was struck by his ability to write with simplicity, fluidity, and a deep heartfelt sincerity as he wrote a mother?s heart for her precious child. He wrote with a depth of love and with a fullness of life that I could only wish I had been able to communicate to my kids when they were young. I have not been so moved emotionally since I read Tilly by Peretti. I picked up Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas thinking it was another detective story. It wasn't! Isn't it lucky!

The only thing dumber than an anthropormorphic computer named Muffin that whines and dribbles is the terrible voice given it by the reader. Complete waste of time.

Trash
Revisado: 06-09-03
If you are seeking an author who is irreverent, vulgar, obsessed with sex and uses foul language that would make a sailor blush then this is the book for you. Couple this with a weak plot and you've got trash. This is the second of her books I quit reading in the middle of it due to disgust. I'll not read any more of her works. I only rated it 1 because I wasn't sure if a zero was possible.

Historia
The man most hated by the LAPD - a black lawyer who has made his name by bringing lawsuits alleging racism and brutality by police officers - has been found murdered on the eve of a high-profile trial. The list of suspects includes half the police force. And Harry Bosch is the detective chosen to head the investigation. The political dangers of the case are huge. If it's not investigated fairly, the public outcry could make the Rodney King riots look tame. But a full investigation will take Bosch into the ugliest corners of law enforcement.

Angels Flight-INaudible!
Revisado: 05-29-03
Too bad such a good book was read so poorly. Burt's attempts to whisper is a low course voice and the way he fades away make this book INaudible. I could barely understand him while listening in my car.
