Historia
London Granger gave up her modeling career for investigative journalism only to discover no one would hire her to write anything important. The only way out of her dead-end job? Investigate something the internet will actually read. That’s how her next assignment becomes “What’s it Really Like to Date a Billionaire?” Her boss hooks her up on a glitzy getaway to St. Kitts as the companion of obscenely wealthy Miranda Northbrooke. Miranda’s only request: when they inevitably run into the ex who dumped her, London must play the role of Miranda’s adoring new girlfriend.

Slow burn that’s good, but maybe a little too slow
Revisado: 11-14-24
Generally I liked it a lot—Larkin is becoming one of my favorite narrators—but this felt a little too slow. Eventually there’s some danger and action (which I usually like in addition to romance), but it takes a while to get there.

Historia
Annalise Finch is content - she has a job she enjoys, lives close to her family and friends, and spends most Wednesday nights drinking wine with her grandma. According to her grandma, though, she has lost her sparkle, and the only solution is to join a site to hook up with other women. The only problem (aside from a meddling grandma with a dirty mind) is Annalise doesn’t like women. At least, that’s what she always thought, but when she meets Brinley Adams, she starts to question everything.

Stilted and unbelievable story, good narration
Revisado: 10-11-24
I like almost anything Lori Prince narrates, but this was the first time I actually returned a book to Audible and got the credit back. DNF after a couple of chapters. The setup and characters were just completely unbelievable and…gross? I’m happy to suspend my disbelief for a lot but this one just isn’t it. I was totally put off from even the “syllabus” at the beginning of the book. This gets really high reviews but I really can’t understand why.

Historia
When Cassie Klein goes to an off-campus bar to escape her school’s Family Weekend, she isn’t looking for a hookup—it just happens. Buying a drink for a stranger turns into what should be an uncomplicated, amazing one-night stand. But then the next morning rolls around and her friend drags her along to meet her mom—the hot, older woman Cassie slept with. What should have been a one-time fling quickly proves impossible to ignore, and soon Cassie and Erin are sneaking around. Worst of all, they start to realize they have something real. But is being honest about it worth the cost?

Mostly good, with a few gripes about one main character
Revisado: 07-05-23
I definitely enjoyed it, but of course have a few gripes. I wasn’t a fan of the Erin chapters—she’s 38 when the books starts, which is a *millennial*, but she seems like she’s completely ancient to me. I also wasn’t a fan of how the Erin narrator did Cassie’s voice. Also, do people really drink this much, even in college? These were just a few things that made the book a bit too unrelateable, even for a romance novel.
But whatever, I still liked it!
