Better the second time.
Revisado: 01-12-19
This is my second time reading this book. I love the story development and the revelations from God. A great individual or book club selection.

Great road trip read!
Revisado: 12-27-18
My 13-year-old son and I love listening to the story while driving to the grandparents. We enjoyed the intrigue and the suspense.
I thought the story was a little predictable, although I wasn’t expecting a reality TV series to be the end. We gave it a four star rating because we did not enjoy the part when the kids had to chew up their food for the Hobo meals. That was pretty disgusting. I’m from the country and there are many ways to make campfire meals with limited utensils that don’t require chewing and spitting out your food. Plus, how are the kids supposed to know who’s packet was theirs when they return from their adventure?
The story is best suited for kids fifth grade through eighth grade although as a educator I think any age group is appreciate!

Excellent read!
Revisado: 07-25-12
What did you love best about What Becomes of the Brokenhearted?
Excellent story. It really opened my eyes to his struggle as an individual trying to fit into society's mold of a traditional man. The story telling was wonderfully realistic. As an Arkansan and a previous reader of E. Lynn Harris' I was supprised to learn of his struggle to realize his dream of writing. I recommend this book for any coming of age individual. Being true to yoursef and to God.
What did you like best about this story?
His honesty.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
No, I enjoyed the anticipation of coming back to the book over the course of a weekend.
Any additional comments?
The only complaint for the ebook was that there was some repetition of lines. The one complaint I have for the content of the book was that the end of the book seemed to lose it entensity.
