Good but not intended to be a stand alone course

I read a lot of the reviews here at Audbile about Learn in Your Car Spanish. A lot of the reviews seemed unhappy with this product. I think I know why.
This is not a stand-alone Spanish product. It is a Spanish phrase audiobook. In fact, the materials that come with this course mention that it is not desigend to teach you how to actually speak Spanish. It is a supplemental resource to help you learn more words and phrases in Spanish AFTER you have already learned the fundamentals of Spanish either on your own or with an instructor.
Although I have purchased quite a few of the Spanish courses sold on the Net, I am not familiar with most of the Spanish courses available here at Audible. But I have used the Learning Spanish Like Crazy course that is offered here at Audible. I must say that Learning Spanish Like Crazy is the best course that I have ever used. That's the course that I would recommend using before Learn In Your Car Spanish in order to master the basics of the Spanish language. I have written reviews for LSLC here at Audible highly recommending that course. But the best thing I can say about that course is that after you have finished both levels, you will be able speak in Spanish with confidence.
After you finish using Learning Spanish Like Crazy, I would advise using Learn In Your Car Spanish to learn some more Spanish phrases to add to your vocabulary. Using Learn in Your Car Spanish after you have completed Learning Spanish Like Crazy may not make you completely fluent in Spanish, but you will be able to communicate with Spanish speakers with confidence. And I am speaking from personal experience.

Learn normal everyday Spanish

I am another one that has wasted lots of time and money on Spanish courses and Spanish classes that taught Spanish that was not useful for communicating in normal everday conversations. For some reason, most of the companies that put out Spanish courses and most of the schools and even private instructors that teach Spanish suffer from the same common misconception that Americans want to learn the rigid, academic, overly polite Spanish. That's why I was so happy to have stumbled upon Learning Spanish Like Crazy. In this course you won't find any of that Spanish which I call the stiff, stuck-up, strict Spanish. With this course I have learned friendly and familiar Spanish. The casual Spanish that you can use in in real everday conversations, not just in Latin America but also in the U.S. when speaking to first and second generation Spanish speakers.
Another great thing about this course is the surprise bonuses that they don't even announce here. They are so many of them that I can't even remember them all. But one of them consisted of downloadable VIDEO Spanish lessons. Another bonus gift consisted of extra downloadable AUDIO Spanish lessons. Another bonus gift consisted of a live weekly teleclass. With the teleclass, you call into a number where a Spanish instructor, a woman from Mexico, teaches a group of about 10 students. The class is interactive and she takes turns calling on students. No one is obligated to participate. You can just listen. But she is such a great instructor and no one feels embarrassed about making mistakes so you will want to participate. They also have a forum or message board which is where I found out about the teleclass. You can use the forum or message board to post your questions about Spanish and someone from the Learning Spanish Like Crazy community will post an answer.
