Historia
After a tragic chain of events led to the deaths of their spouses two years ago, D.C. philanthropist Sloane Chase and Senator Whit Montgomery are finally starting to move on. The horrifying ordeal drew them together, and now they're ready to settle down again—with each other. As Sloane returns to the world of White House dinners and political small talk, this time with her new husband, she's also preparing for an upcoming hip replacement—the latest reminder of the lupus diagnosis she's managed since her twenties.

Liv Constantine’s unpredictable twists
Revisado: 07-14-23
These ladies never fail to deliver a great twist at the end of every story. They keep their readers engaged and the performance on the audio version is just amazing. Great story that makes for an entertaining listening time!

Historia
Mitza Maric has always been a little different from other girls. Most 20-year-olds are wives by now, not studying physics at an elite Zurich university with only male students trying to outdo her clever calculations. But Mitza is smart enough to know that, for her, math is an easier path than marriage. And then fellow student Albert Einstein takes an interest in her, and the world turns sideways. Theirs becomes a partnership of the mind and of the heart, but there might not be room for more than one genius in a marriage.

Lack of facts
Revisado: 07-21-22
This book was very entertaining but unfortunately the author did not have enough facts to support her story. I wish it could be a true historical fiction with mostly accurate events but it seems rather mostly fictional. Otherwise, it would have been just perfect. I however enjoyed the story.

Historia
For seven-year-old Raami, the shattering end of childhood begins with the footsteps of her father returning home in the early dawn hours bringing details of the civil war that has overwhelmed the streets of Phnom Penh, Cambodia’s capital. Soon the family’s world of carefully guarded royal privilege is swept up in the chaos of revolution and forced exodus. Over the next four years, as she endures the deaths of family members, starvation, and brutal forced labor, Raami clings to the only remaining vestige of childhood - the mythical legends and poems told to her by her father.

Beautifully written although heartbreaking
Revisado: 10-29-21
This book gives up a glance into the atrocities of the Khmer Rouge in Cambodia and the resilience of one little girl is inspiring. For historical fiction lovers, this is for you! I have learned about this history in our world, one that has not been told much like the others. It was a great learning opportunity and at the same time, a beautiful tale with an excellent prose. Highly recommend!
