Revisado: 06-23-20
I’m glad to buy this book, it is really cool, gives you many ideas on how to begin. The author is actually entertaining to listen to so I never got bored listening to her. Everyone who listens hopefully you do your bit saving our Earth, for our future generations. I’m already started to consumer very very less. But these are my own : Recycle all the plastic you use, even looking at way to make plastic waste into something useful like tiles, etc. Composting organic matter in the big bio gas chamber fitted at home.
Cheers, mate!

Bad bad bad
Revisado: 06-23-20
Although the only thing I could give credit was for the way the author tried to make it entertaining even if it is based on a bunch of lies
These stories are solely based of a white man’s perspective and with no official input from the original people of the land.
Sadly most histories of the ‘New World’ were distorted showing ancient civilizations as savages, compared to the Spanish Conquistadors. There are better materials and documentaries out there than this book!
To make it even worse, the narrator’s pronunciations of many words made me cringe deeply.. I’m sure the narrator speaks only one language in his life and unashamedly butchers all of the beautiful words of the ancient languages. Shame on u! I can understand that a true Mayan would not even dare to read this book because it is full of lies!!!!

I love native American culture. Kaipo Scwab you must read more books like this, I love to listen to you.
Very good book for someone curious like me, stop romanticizing native Americans, rather you must understand them that’s what the book says.
I wish to meet a Native American before I die .

Historia
Penguin presents the audiobook edition of Inglorious Empire written and read by Shashi Tharoor. In the 18th century, India's share of the world economy was as large as Europe's. By 1947, after two centuries of British rule, it had decreased six-fold. The Empire blew rebels from cannon, massacred unarmed protesters, entrenched institutionalised racism and caused millions to die from starvation.

Why we get only half assed stories about the greatest conquest of our country in schools? Mr Tharoor is right on we Indians forgive and forget easily. We should forgive but not forget. Never forget.
I felt like I needed a punching bag when listening to this audiobook, it really makes me angry at the wrong doings. Our present we owe to our history, so please don’t tell me that’s all in the past. Thank you.

She shares stories of her father, a Vietnam vet who was bowed but never broken by life's challenges, and of her mother, who survived violence both in the home and on DC's volatile streets. Here, too, she opens up about her experiences as a single mother.

I tried to watch the movie but zainab’s voice and role play really suited me better!,, And obviously no one could ever be so successful turning a beautiful book into a movie. For example my imagination of Olanna was so strikingly different than the olana in the movie..
Chimamanda is really one of my favorite authors right now. And I really hope zainab jha reads more books on audible I’m in love with her Nigerian accent. Please oh.

I URGE YOU TO PLEASE READ THE MAHABHARATA...will definitely buy as soon as you do. So far there are only western readers and not any good Indian reader.

Tiffany can't avoid being funny: it's just who she is. But The Last Black Unicorn is so much more than a side-splittingly hilarious collection of essays - it's a memoir of the struggles of one woman who came from nothing and nowhere. A woman who was able to achieve her dreams by reveling in her pain and awkwardness, showing the world who she really is, and inspiring others through the power of laughter.
