Horrible accents. So distracting from the story.
Revisado: 04-14-25
I loved the other 3 previous books. This one I had to suffer through. Not because of the story line but because of the accents. They were so so bad. Just because the character has a last name that sounds like it should have an accent doesn’t mean it should. The Polish accent was horrific. I don’t even know how many accents were used. It wrecked the book for me. The only reason I listened was because I liked the other 3 books in the series. Next time get a different narrator for different accents or don’t use them at all.

Americans are drowning in paper. We keep stacks of it on the kitchen counter, stash it in drawers, and store file cabinets full of documents that we never even look at. Studies show that fully 85 percent of the paper in our lives can be tossed - but which 85 percent? And how do we organize and manage the 15 percent that remains? With The Paper Solution, founder of Organize365 Lisa Woodruff delivers a proven, step-by-step guide for what to shred, what to save, and how to sort what's left behind.

Should have PDF more
Revisado: 07-09-24
There was PDF for somethings HOWEVER the crucial PDF’s were left out. I am listening but way past the colored slash folders chapter. Now I am sitting with my Sunday basket (biggest part of the book) and I don’t know what color represents what? NO PDF for that part. Now I have to go back and try and listen to the part with those. I have no idea what chapter. If the author reads this please ADD those and anything else relevant like the other colors as well. Other than this I liked the book and am trying to apply it to my life.

The bones turn out to be modern—the remains of Emily Pickering, a young archaeology student who went missing in 2002. Another one of my favorites
Revisado: 06-18-23
This series has had me listening for years ! The characters and their personalities have grown with every book. Every time I finish listening to one book with Ruth Galloway’s character it leaves me wanting another book. At the end of each book I feel pleasantly satisfied with the ending, but always curious for where the characters might go next. So I keep waiting for another.

Just gross and very unrealistic
Revisado: 08-02-21
Where to start.... How about don't even start it. The Narrator Xe Sands is just not for me. She makes all these strange inflections in her voice, or its just her voice and the way she narrates. I have heard her in another audible book and I hated the narration. I forgot her name when I selected this audible book. I could have just dealt with it but almost 17 hours is just too much.
The story was good and I could follow it until about 1/2 way through. Then the story got very very dark and hard to understand what was going on and WHY it was going on. Spoiler... I don't need to hear of a boy eating a leg of another character. I listen to about 3 books a week and I always give them a try.. not sure what other people liked about the story.

Historia
When Detective Casey White discovers the body of a beautiful teenage girl in a white nightgown near the shoreline in North Carolina’s Outer Banks, a familiar fear floods through her. Could this be Hannah, her sweet, blue-eyed daughter snatched from home 14 years ago? But it only takes one look to confirm that the girl with dark bruising around her throat is another family’s tragedy. Putting her own grief aside, Casey digs into unsolved missing child cases in the area. The victim is Cheryl Parry, one of two little girls taken during a family beach vacation nine years ago.

More of a teen book
Revisado: 03-31-21
First the narrator was way over dramatic. So much that it was irritating. The story line is alright but the characters were naive. Some things that some of the main characters, like a detective were saying made me say duh if they are a detective they would know that already. It doesn’t matter if it is a small town or not. Made them seem like small town bafoons. The only reason I kept listening was that I didn’t have another book already selected but I had no choice to finish it. But jeez the narrator needs to calm it down a little.

Worst ever. Computer voice
Revisado: 03-31-20
How did this end up on audible ? It is a computer voice. You can tell when they say
don’t and pronounce it as “don T”
And the story as well is bad. I don’t know if this was a free one or not but take my words of advice. Just don’t (not just don T)

The narrator does a good job but it is weird as she pronounces some words in an odd pronunciation. Can’t tell where she is from put it was distracting at times. Also the story is a unrealistic.

Sexual details not needed
Revisado: 11-28-18
Ugh. I am NOT a prude by any means. The story was ok as far as the plot goes but then the sexual scene was described bit by bit. This was not needed and frankly from that point on the story felt more juvenile, or like the harlequin romance books. Very disappointed
