Sophie the Selfish

I loved this book but I found Sophie to be unbearably selfish and unlikable. In other novels her character has been almost as bad but it was funny. In this one I can't stand her. The saving grace was the big twist at the end about Sophie and Agatha's past. I could never have guessed! Hoping the author adds more to this universe. If we have the Camelot years then perhaps we could have future eras to see how are schoolmates are doing now.

The Queen of Faerie does it again! I need more!

What a fantastic return to Elfhame! It's great to see these characters grown but also the little flashbacks of their childhood from the Queen of Nothing timeline plus other previously unknown moments was incredibly intriguing. I only wish there was more behind the curtains of what Jude and Cardan are up to these days but I imagine we will see in the future chapters of this series. The cliffhanger leaves me breathless and absolutely dying to see what comes next. Thank you Holly!

Time to reread Crush!

Wow I'm blown away with this book. I think it's my favorite by far in the entire series. It brings so much more meaning to the events in Crush, Covet and Crown. Team Hudson for the win.

How many "E"s are in aether?

A year of waiting for this monumental disappointment. I would've enjoyed this book much better if the female narrator had taken note of all the reviews complaining of her awful pronunciation of aeeeeeeeeether in past titles of this series and also on the ASITE audiobook. I've been consistently dissatisfied with her narration but I do love this author and her work so I keep buying her books. But after this I'm getting print versions of anything narrated by Ms. Nielson. Tim Campbell was a joy and brought Casteel to wonderful life. Unfortunately my experience of this story was so ruined by Stina I might be done for this series and the prequel timeline altogether. She did well with SJM's ACOTAR but with this series I'm gagging through each chapter barely able to immerse myself in the story.

I can't understand why the last book in a series would have a different narrator but it as a very poor choice. I'll need to get the Kindle version instead to have Alexa read this to me instead.

Great story, terrible narrator

L.J. my girl, I love ya hon. JSYK I devour everything you write (mad props as always for your art) but I could barely get through this audiobook. PLEASE redo this recording with Christian Rummel or Jacob Morgan. Begging you for the sake of this amazing story, it deserves a chance to really come to life without a person cringing through the experience.

Wow a whole book of the most annoying fictional character ever created! It was a waste of my time and terrible waste of a credit. I should've listened to my instincts to stop with this series a long time ago...

Worst book I've ever read

The plot was terrible and not at all believable. Main character so annoying I could slap her. She's absolutely pathetic. The narrator was as bad as the story so all in all this was the worst book I've ever read or listened to. The desperation in her voice underscores the character's insanity making it so absolutely irritating to listen to. I get that she's an addict but seriously I's rather her be a cocaine addict then it might actually make it more entertaining. Don't waste the time or money in this book. Even if it was free I'd ask for a refund.

A roller coaster you don't want to miss

An amazing followup to Vicious, with a kick in the gut that'll leave you sobbing, really ugly-crying throughout some chapters. Wow. This book wrecked me. Totally and absolutely killed me. I'm dead now. Thanks so much L.J.

A stepping stone to whatever comes next

While there was a lot of humor in this modern fairy tale I found the heroine of the story incredibly annoying in her gullibility. Without spoiling anything I found the twist at the end interesting if not predictable. So I guess there's nothing to do but patiently wait for the next installment of the series and hope she redeems herself and turn into the strong female I think she's supposed to be.
