Historia
When Mike Radley inherited a mysterious old house from a long-lost relative, he wasn't sure what to expect. He didn't expect a sexual encounter with the nymph in his bathtub. He really didn't expect to discover a house full of affectionate monsters. And he definitely didn't expect a pair of witches bent on stealing the home's magic from him. Welcome to the Radley House. Expect the unexpected.

Outstanding performance!
Revisado: 04-11-24
I’ve listened to dozens of audiobooks and have accumulated more than 850 hours of listening time on Audible. A whole range of genres and narrators, and I have to say, this is by a huge margin the best performance I’ve come across so far. Everything about the voice acting (cadence, pitch, accent, inflection, tone, etc.) makes the book incredibly enjoyable; Alyssa Poon and Evan Jordan are in a league of their own when it comes to narration.
The story itself was refreshingly engaging too. Plenty of hot sex scenes – sure. But these scenes are all crafted in a way that wraps in beats and plot points which move the story forward. Can’t wait to listen to the other books in the series (a total of 5 at this point). If you have a spare credit, I highly recommend this book. And if you don’t have a spare credit, buy one and get this book anyway.

Historia
Tiernan de Haas doesn’t care about anything anymore. The only child of a film producer and his starlet wife, she’s grown up with wealth and privilege but not love or guidance. And when they suddenly pass away, she knows she should be devastated. But has anything really changed? She’s always been alone, hasn’t she? Jake Van der Berg, her father’s stepbrother and her only living relative, assumes guardianship of Tiernan who is still two months shy of 18. She's sent to live with him and his two sons, Noah and Kaleb, in the mountains of Colorado.

Excellent story and characters
Revisado: 02-24-23
First let me say that I'm not a big consumer of the romance genre (more of a thriller/mystery guy myself), but there's a lot about this book that makes it stand out amongst the dozens of titles I've read over the last few months. The characters are very well developed with just our main female protagonist with her two cousins and uncle making up about 95% of the scenes in the book. Intervals with chapters from the POV of one the cousins and the uncle are well placed in the story and build up the tension of the scenes as the main character attempts to navigate her way through the relationships she's making in the snowed-in remote mountain cabin that acts as the primary setting.
Containing the setting to an isolated cabin deep in the backwoods of the Rocky Mountains that's been snowed-in for the winter was another excellent method of heightening the tension and raising the stakes for our main character - she has no way out. She's stuck in a place with men she doesn't know, and forced into living a lifestyle that's diametrically opposed to what she was raised in.
If I have any complaints about the story, it would just be that the character used as the antagonist seemed a little superficial when the opportunity existed to leverage the jealousy and envy of the cousins and the uncle against one another to make the drama hit closer to home. Like most romance novels, this one ends in a happily ever after, which was a little frustrating when the story was perfectly primed for some serious Shakespearean tragedy with a family feud going horribly wrong. But all in all, it was an excellent read and one I'll be listening to again.
