Historia
Over the course of 100 luminous player profiles, the best sports newsroom on the planet paints vivid portraits of the game’s most compelling characters. The Basketball 100, edited by award-winning reporters David Aldridge and John Hollinger, also answers the game’s toughest, most important questions: How should we weight championship rings, versus statistical profiles, versus the “eye test”? Were the great players of yesteryear, like Wilt Chamberlain and Bill Russell, propelled by the inferior athleticism of their competition or would they have been transcendent in any era?

A Good Classic
Revisado: 02-27-25
I am reading 100 books and this was 61. It is usually recommended as a must read. It is not extremely long but the content is useful. My favorite chapter was the one about unity. It is not as is this book is going to magically get everybody to agree with you, but outlines some research that shows how some factors in human life influence relationships ands behavior. It is not a book about mind control but about the best ways to convey your ideas and get people onto your side if they so choose. The book is based on ethics and morality and takes a god approach to influencing others.

A Good Book About Something I Never Knew
Revisado: 02-16-25
It was a very good work. I am reading 100 books and this was 58. I was born in 1993 so I knew nothing about this event in Beirut until now. It reminds me of the saying, “War is Hell.” I don’t think we will understand why innocent people have to die due to terrorism and hatred. Thank you for sharing.

Overview of the Subject of Architecture
Revisado: 02-12-25
I have been on a project to read 100 books. Probably 10 of them have been the DK Books. They are all great. I am glad that I found them. I learned that while architecture is not exactly my greatest interest, a lot goes into it including functionality, appearance and environmental footprint. I am sure that architects have their share of troubles nowadays with trying to be economical, environmental and profitable.

Great Review of the Origin of OxyContin
Revisado: 02-06-25
I had known that OxyContin was a problem but I never knew about the origins or history. It was refreshing to learn about a family dynasty that created it and reaped the benefits of doing so.
I am reading 100 books and this is one of them.
In Arizona, there are many issues with OxyContin, Fentanyl, heroin and opiates. I think this is a must read for anybody who is in the realm of these issues whether through work, career or personal interest.

Do I have the power to make it happen? With Simon Squibb’s incisive new book, you can make it happen.

Great Summary of Simon Squibb’s Vision
Revisado: 02-05-25
I think that Simon is a great person. Analyzing his past and difficulties that he went through to become a successful businessperson is very inspiring.
I am in the process of reading 100 books and this is one of them.
I can tell that Simon truly believes in what he is doing and that is also one of the purposes of this book, in my opinion.
Do what you love, help other people and never give up. These are some of the themes in this book from what I gather.
If you are an inspiring entrepreneur or are interested in business, this book is a great addition for you. It was published in 2025 so it is very modern and updated. I learned that the business world does take an “all in” mentality and that is okay.
Thank you for the good work!

A Good and Detailed Account of China
Revisado: 01-27-25
I am reading 100 books and this is one of them.
This goes over the history of China from ancient times. It is relatively thorough and explains many dynasties, emperors, and ideas of the time.
What I noticed is that the history of China is very dark. There has been a lot of famine, oppression and some forms of corruption. I respect the history of China but I did expect more honor, respect and integrity. There has been a lot of violence and death in China.
Overall I think it is great information for an American and I am glad that I was able to expand my viewpoint. I will probably be learning more about China in the future.

A gripping history of banking and the booms and busts that shaped the world on both sides of the Atlantic, The House of Morgan traces the trajectory of the J. P.Morgan empire from its obscure beginnings in Victorian London to the crash of 1987. Ron Chernow paints a fascinating portrait of the private saga of the Morgans and the rarefied world of the American and British elite in which they moved. Based on extensive interviews and access to the family and business archives, The House of Morgan is an investigative masterpiece.

Great Review of JP Morgan Until 1989
Revisado: 01-17-25
This is an older work. I thought it’d be newer since the date says 2014 but that it only when it was added here. I am reading 100 books and this is one of them. I know nothing of banking and finance so it was a great history that I am glad to learn about. So many ups and downs with the JP Morgan franchise. It covers the life of Pierpont, his son Jack, assassination attempts and more. I can fill in the blanks from 1989 to 2025. I can now know about the power that banks had in history even amongst politics, economics and internationally.
