Historia
Though Anderson Cooper has always considered himself close to his mother, his intensely busy career as a journalist for CNN and CBS affords him little time to spend with her. After she suffers a brief but serious illness at the age of ninety-one, they resolve to change their relationship by beginning a yearlong conversation unlike any they have ever had before. The result is a correspondence of surprising honesty and depth in which they discuss their lives, the things that matter to them, and what they still want to learn about each other.

Brilliant

This is insightful and heart warming. A beautiful narrative between a mother and son about past lives and life’s great delights, the joy of love, the heart break of loss, life’s regrets and what might have been, and a wish for the future.

A shocking portrait of the 1980s, of America, and of the woman whose position helped shape the values and policies of the Reagan administration. Through over 1,000 interviews collected during four years of exhaustive research and reporting, Kelley reveals Nancy Reagan as a superb public performer; a vain, materialistic social climber; a bitter foe; and formidable strategist - an American phenomenon.

Such a great listen, about two young boys, child actors and brothers, who have grown up in Hollywood with incredibly wise and loving parents by their side.

Historia
The fact that Susannah Constantine made her name as a "style guru" as part of “Trinny and Susannah” from What Not to Wear is the least interesting thing about her. Susannah grew up amongst the great and good of British aristocracy and (unwittingly) trained to be a society bride. Fittingly, Barbara Cartland was her touchstone for romance: she wanted to be the underdog heroine who ended up marrying a prince.

An arresting read👍🏻👍🏻
Revisado: 02-15-23
This is a wonderful book telling of Susannah’s life journey beginning in the 60’s giving insight to an upper class upbringing in London and the years that followed. Susannah is candid, engaging and humorous as she recounts yarns of her life to date.
