Living, breathing characters. Writing that is far above par for almost anyone I've ever read, exciting storyline, and exactly the kind of world I love to read about. Herkes dares to blend things that most people are too scared to do which is exactly why her readers love her. I'm waiting patiently for this author to be noticed for the genius that she is so I can say I was a fan before it happened.
The narration is also on point and really brought the story to life.

Yes. I am learning Spanish and listening to this delightful story was a pleasure after repetitive lessons. I was able to slow down the audio in my app to listen better.

Yes. The story and the performance were a delight.
What other book might you compare Taming Shadows to and why?
Taming Shadows has a similar feeling to the Dresden FIles. I would recommend them for any Dresden fan.
What about P. J. Morgan’s performance did you like?
I felt the characters were very well-voiced.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes, and I have a very hard time sitting still to listen to a story.
