Generally don't care for books in which the author does the reading, but in this case the auditory talent was just as exemplary as the writing talent and the books premise.

Historia
It's as big as the Empire State Building, a massive floating fortress at the throbbing heart of a US Navy carrier battle group. Its supersonic aircraft can level entire cities at a stroke. Its surveillance gear can track every target within thousands of square miles - in the air, on the surface, and under the sea. Its crew of 6,000 works night and day to keep this awesome military machine at peak performance. It's a Nimitz-class nuclear carrier, the most powerful weapons system on the planet. Nothing can touch it.

Revisado: 06-24-20
Good story, good premise, good twists and turns. Performance was good but not great. The over-the-top histrionics when the protagonist was in mental distress was too much for me. Probably others would not agree. It's just me I think.

Thank you Bill Browder
Revisado: 04-24-18
This is a heart wrenching, fascinating true sequence of events that has opened the eyes of many to just how corrupt governments and officials in office today have been and still are. Bill Browder is a true example of how one person CAN make a difference. He lives in constant danger, and I personally want to thank him for his service in trying to make this world a better place. I urge every person to read this. I don't think anyone can walk away from this story without an appreciation for the people involved and how their sacrifice have made a difference in the worldwide political arena.

I wish everyone was required to read this book. Rich in emotion, history, and culture. Even when you think you understand today's world, you don't. This book helps reveal a glimpse of an important lesson on how we got to be the society we are today and how those around us may still feel about their own history. It's a story that everyone can relate to in some way. Everyone should read it. I enjoyed the narrator as well. Now I'm going to see if I can find a family tree so my thoughts can marinate a bit more.
