Historia
His students scattered to the four corners of the planet, Drew finally has some time to do maintenance on his own little world. The first thing he does, of course, is to get all the dragons drunk and then kidnap them. Letting them simmer in a bootcamp of draconic design in order to teach the millenia old reptiles discipline and new tricks is sure to work. His students continue their duty of protecting their corners. They spend their time living as queens, being surrounded by a rather fuzzy harem, ruling with iron fists, or being loved by all.

review

As it is the 5th book in the series there have been times where I have not liked some of the decisions that the author has made for the story's direction. But as the story progressed they, if not made sense for the story's world, they at least did not stop me from continuing to read.
But the "plot twist" he made in the last half of the book is so mind numbing lazy and dumb, I could not finish listening. That was the breaking point for me. The plot twist was so jarring it kicked me out of the immersion I was in and I couldn't get back into the story. It felt very forced.
This next part is a bit of a spoiler btw ( the entire story our MC has been going on and on about how badly he was treated in the cultivation realm and how he just wanted to assend. He now has friends and family. BUT was the author happy with this good and logical story progression? No, they weren't. They literally took a giant hammer to the current plot progression with the your world is actually a spoiled kids drunk spending spee. Oh and you now need to rescue your friends in the world you said you hated because I don't like writing in the one I created. )

Gary Burns just wanted to create the greatest RPG campaign of his gaming career. But a freak magical accident sucks him into the very world he created - as himself. Surrounded by heroes who look and sound like his friends, Gary is forced to play out the story he wrote. Worthless in a fight, Gary must prove himself valuable even if it means feeding the team insider knowledge. Metagamer Chronicles puts the RPG into LitRPG. If you miss the rattle of dice and gaming at a table with your friends, the Metagamer Chronicles are what you've been craving.

Interesting Idea, Poor Execution
Revisado: 03-15-20
The narrator was what kept me listening to the story, they were that good. Unfortunately I was having to force myself to keep listening to the story.
It had all the aspects that I usually enjoy in a story, but I could never really get myself to connect with the characters and kept finding myself bored, and uninterested.
I was only able the finish the first book in the pack and a third through the second before I stopped forcing myself to listen.

Good, but...
Revisado: 05-17-19
The story in my opinion was ok, it starts out like a young adult coming of age story, with good character and world building and is generally quite feel good and wholesome for the most part; but around 2/3's of the way thru the whole novel changes in tone to a weird juxtaposition of youth novel and gritty and dark adult novel with swearing and odd sex scene that seemed to be just thrown in for kicks and giggles.
I really was enjoying the novel till about halfway through the dungeon and then I was just trying to finish the book, but when the company people showed up, I was done.
I should note that I have read his other series with kindle and have enjoyed them, so I took a chance on this and will probably not continue with it, unfortunately.

Historia
Gil Truman has eyes only for the beautiful Tilly - until he is forced to marry plain, sickly Rose Davenport to reclaim the lands his father foolishly gambled away. After a disastrous wedding night tainted with his bitterness, he deposits Rose at his remote, Northumbrian estate, soothing his guilt with the thought that she need never lay eyes on him again. Five years after the mortifying wedding night that destroyed all her romantic fantasies, Rose is fed up with hearing second - and third - hand reports of Gil's philandering ways. She is no longer the shy, homely girl he left behind.

Not what I was expecting
Revisado: 04-16-18
The story is good, but is very melodramatic.
I was expecting a light hearted romantic comedy, and while there were moments it is not a comedy.
The characters are real, flawed and relatable. The plotline flows beautifully with no jarring plot holes.
Would I listen to it again? Yes but not for awhile
The one complaint I have is that there is no epilogue, while it is a happy ending, it is a bit unsatisfying that we don't get to see their life after they get together at the very end.
