Historia
After a lifetime spent in public relations, one-woman dynamo Agatha Raisin struggles to adapt to life in a quiet country village - but she soon finds that there is murder and mayhem aplenty to keep her busy. Among the cases she has to deal with are a poisoned quiche; a vet who has been ‘put to sleep’; a hanged horticulturist; a murdered rambler and a curate who meets his Maker somewhat sooner than expected.

Excellent performance from everyone
Revisado: 01-11-23
Loved every one’s performances.
There are changes from the books in names of the cat and Charles, but that’s the only odd thing about it.

Historia
As a technician for a local vet and the owner of the Barkery & Biscuits dog bakery, Carrie Kennersly is excited to host a rescue-animal adoption event. She's also excited to be in a relationship with veterinarian Dr. Reed Storme, despite his pleas for her to butt out of the murder cases with which she keeps finding herself involved. Yet when Reed is accused of killing his former veterinary colleague, he seems a lot more agreeable to having amateur detective Carrie butt back in. Can Carrie clear Reed, or does she care too much for a killer?

Not good.
Revisado: 11-26-22
It’s a good thing this book is free. It’s not written well, a lot of the characters found the same, there’s no logic to a lot of it.

Somewhat fun, somewhat annoying
Revisado: 10-17-22
An interesting read. I enjoy it a bit but the preachy judgment of the author of people not approving of M rated books is annoying. The feeling I get from it is: how dare you not approve of things I approve of.
Mentioning a character’s conservative father wouldn’t approve of his young daughter reading it. I’ll tell you this, my liberal father wouldn’t approve of me reading that book either.
And the push for most of the main characters loving the book for its lustfulness is eye rolling.
And then writing the academics as always being snobby. I’ve known quite a lot who are but not paint them all that way.
Same could be said for cop portrayal. Why make a cop who is usually annoying and bad at his job? It gets really annoying hearing the same take from him on each book, and no growth at all.
To me, all these things detract my enjoyment from the book.

Not bad but preachy
Revisado: 10-04-22
Preachy in a way that the aunt did a huge spiel/rant about people liking and disliking books and such,
Also the constant repeating info about the bookstore looking like a New Englanders personal library, her brothers death, etc gets tiresome when you hear it every book. Especially when it’s put in odd places in the story.
Other than that kind of stuff story’s ok.

Historia
A hotshot real estate developer arrives in Sully's Landing, touting his plans to build a tacky amusement arcade smack dab in the middle of the tasteful cliffside town. No one in Sully's Landing can stand the gaudy developer, but it's still a shock when he ends up murdered. It's even more shocking when Liza's friend Doug emerges as the chief suspect. Melanie and Liza put on their sleuthing caps yet again and set out to clear Doug's name.

It’s a mix (spoiler in comments)
Revisado: 09-21-22
Mixed feelings about this one. It seemed an ok story.
There was something though that put a sour feeling on my gut though.
{ who did it: spoiler included} :
When they mentioned the mayor thanked god every morning, I instantly thought Aha! I bet they’re going to make the mayor the bad guy. (Because there’s authors out there that like to bash Christians-I’ve experienced it before it books. ). I was hoping to be wrong but sure enough it was the mayor who did it.
Now I might be wrong with the author’s intent but the fact that she had to mentioned the mayor thanking God in the story for the murderer seems suspect.
Anyhow all this is my feelings and thoughts about it.

Historia
You are no one. Level zero. Empty of mind and memory. Even your past has been stripped from your brain by the inscrutable System. A long, difficult road lies between you and remembering any part of who you are. A road punctuated with one death after another. You are too puny to survive by might alone. Information is the single resource that might keep you alive, but the brainless “digis” have none of it. Only those with experience can give you what you need, but most care nothing about you or your plight. In fact, some make it their mission to kill you.

Horrible
Revisado: 09-06-22
Interesting premise gets destroyed by a Mc and writer who thinks a woman getting raped would be a fun time for her, and wanted to congratulate the guy who did it.
And he also keeps on complaining about her appearance.
Chapter 10 shows this and just demolished any good things about this story.

So bad couldn’t get past the intro
Revisado: 08-30-22
The beginning was just too political and dark for my taste. And a lot of the explanation for it seemed to contradict itself.

Historia
The aromas of wild thyme and Highland heather waft through Lochdubh, home to M. C. Beaton's eccentric policeman, Hamish Macbeth. Yet as he deftly investigates the summer's high crimes and misdemeanors, he attracts the attention of his superiors. Disappointing
Revisado: 03-17-22
It had promise but in the end the story liked to blame churches and religion, and the reasoning for it is extremely forced and not believable.

2.5-3 stars.
Revisado: 08-19-21
Interesting premise but MC is a bigamist and thinks negatively about nearly everyone while ever ends up loving him for fine reason.
His whole story is luck bails him out of everything, and he keeps saying how he doesn’t like or trust Samantha but at the end is upset at her , saying he was thinking there was more to her and him and he was made that she left and only said let’s see each other again.
Made no sense.
There are other plot holes like this in the story.
