When Lady Esme Byron happens upon a gorgeous naked man sleeping beside a secluded country lake, she can't resist the impulse to sketch him. But when her highly improper drawing is mistakenly revealed at a party, she finds her once-pristine reputation in tatters. STORY WAS ENJOYABLE...NARRATION WAS TERRIBLE
Revisado: 03-30-16
Where does Happily Bedded Bliss rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
The story ranks probably in the middle. No real heavy subject matter, no real mysteries, no real difficult situations. It did have some funny parts and did deal with a bad family relationship. The problem with this bvook was the narrator. She was just not what a good narrator should be.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Happily Bedded Bliss?
To me, the part where Esme tells Gaberial about expecting their baby.
How could the performance have been better?
This narrator did a poor job on this book. This hero is supposed to be strong, good looking, powerful and his voice sounds whiney, like he was talking out his nose. The story was read word by word. Word...then word...then word...no emotion, no excitement just word by word. It was just wrong! Everythng sounded the same.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
There were some funny parts. Esme was always just this side of trouble. She was quite a feisty young lady.

Historia
Dennis Mira just had two unpleasant surprises. First he learned that his cousin Edward was secretly meeting with a real estate agent about their late grandfather's magnificent West Village brownstone, despite the promise they both made to keep it in the family. Then, when he went to the house to confront Edward about it, he got a blunt object to the back of the head.

IN DEATH SERIES AT ITS VERY BEST
Revisado: 03-12-16
What did you love best about Brotherhood in Death?
There was not one specific thing. While the subject matter was very deep and extremely emotional, the characters did not drown in the doom and despair. This b ook just had it all.
What other book might you compare Brotherhood in Death to and why?
I would have to say the first novels in the series. To me, the last few books have been very troublesome and in some instances there were scenes that I just could not listen to. While this story certainly was deep---there was so much more--humor, tears, laugh. love.
Which scene was your favorite?
Gotta be when Eve told Denis about her past. The way he handled it, the words he said, the comfort he gave...it made me have chills and cry all at the same time.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Had to bethe same as above. Any scene in this book that included Dennis was great. His character just has such a way about him. He just brings comfort a

It Was Just Not Her Usual "Great"
Revisado: 07-27-14
If you could sum up When Day Breaks in three words, what would they be?
Sweet, Sexy and Insecurities Run Wild (oops, that is more than 3 words...sorry)
Would you recommend When Day Breaks to your friends? Why or why not?
Yes but with the disclaimer that this was not her best work. In the other KGI novels there was the story of two people finding each other but there was also an adventure/danger to the story. While the story did have certain points of danger entwined it was just not enough to hold my interest. Instead we got to hear over and over again how Eden was too good for Swany because of his scars and how Eden wanted to make Swany understand that his scars mean nothing to her.
What about Adam Paul’s performance did you like?
Adam did a good job on his performance.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
No. I needed a break from hearing how each deserved someone better.

GREAT START TO ANOTHER WONDERFUL BRIGHTON SERIES
Revisado: 11-04-13
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Most definitely. I found this book to be intense, funny, sad, thought provoking...just an all around good start to another Brighton series.
What other book might you compare Wild Desire to and why?
You know, I really cannot think of another similar book. This book had lots of different aspects that led to it being a very good listen. One could feel the pain that Leo had endured for years. You could feel the total isolation and intense emotions he felt. Ella brought out the best in Leo and made/helped him realize that loving someone does not necessarily lead to losing them.
What about Ashford MacNab’s performance did you like?
I have always liked Ashford MacNab's performances. She adds just the right amount of emotions for each character. While listening to her I can totally picture the character and circumstances surrounding the events taking place. Great job!
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Life can bring people together in strange ways
Any additional comments?
Keep them coming Lori Brighton...Your books keep getting better and better!

Good, Simple Romance...HORRIBLE narration
Revisado: 08-18-13
Would you listen to Seducing Simon again? Why?
Yes, if someone else was doing the narration. The story was just a straight forward romance. No mysteries to solve, no evil characters hanging around--just a "let's listen to this and enjoy" kind of story. Sometimes it is just nice to listen to an "easy" listen.
What did you like best about this story?
The relationship between all the characters--not just Simon and Toni. These four individuals has made a true family for themselves and it was fun to listen to the interplay between them all.
How could the performance have been better?
Get a different narrator. When I listen to my audiobooks, I like to be able to distinguish between the different people in the story. This narrator used almost the same voices for all the characters...male, female, young or old. AND when the story calls for someone to yell or get angry or upset, it would be nice for the narrator to at least change the tone of the narration....It was all the same drab thing...Happy, angry, crying, scared...never a change in the tone . Unbelievably bad!
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Some of the scenes were funny. Some of the reactions to how Toni would act or look...that was pretty funny

ENJOYABLE READ...FUNNY AND HEART WARMING
Revisado: 12-11-12
Would you consider the audio edition of To Seduce an Earl to be better than the print version?
I did not read the print version of this book. I did, however, thoroughly enjoyed the audio version.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Both of the main characters stood out each in their own way. Their interactions with each other were great...funny, caring, romantic. Each character was strong, but , then again, each needed someone to count on and someone to care for them. they found that in each other.
Would you listen to another book narrated by Fiona Underwood?
It would have to depend on how bad I wanted to listen to the book. If there was one draw back in the listening of this book it was the narration. Underwood did not do a good job in distinguishing betwwen the male and female voices. In many dialogues I had a hard time telling just who was doing the talking because they sounded just like each other...not good when one was female and one was male.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes...most definitely. I had a hard time putting my Kindle down and doing other things...
Any additional comments?
Brighton id a great job in writing this novel. I look forward to reading more of her books and just hope that Audible will put more of them out there for all to enjoy.

Nora Roberts' Best Story Yet
Revisado: 06-25-12
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I have already recommended this book. The storyline and characters were absolutely wonderful. A great overall book!
Who was your favorite character and why?
Abigail and Brooks were each strong characters. Abigail's direct, to the point personality caused for some intense as well as gumorous dialogue. Brooks was the perfect character for Abigail. He was not put off by her different personality. In fact, he thrived on it. Just two wonderfully deverloped characters
What does Julia Whelan bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
The narration causes the story to come to life. It provides a definite mental image of each person. Wonderful job
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Shile the whole story was intense and fascinating, the ending was just over the top. It made me believe in happily ever after.
