This at first sounds ridiculous but the methods will work if carefully applied. I’m hooked and want to continue with E cubed!

Not for women that actually enjoy handling the home finances.

You’ll be using paper cash and paper checks if you follow this book wholeheartedly. Not for 2023. Seriously outdated.

This book is an excellent source of encouragement for those already awake to flat earth. For those wishing it was more appeasing to Christianity: please know you’ll get triggered by your cognitive dissonance on that subject in this book. Many flat earthers eventually become agnostic if they aren’t afraid to eventually question Christianity too and that issue could have been addressed here yet the author assumed that his audience already swallowed that red pill first. This earth we live on definitely has a creator and the author doesn’t deny this. He simply pokes fun at the “religious” atheists who cling to the Big Bang ball earth as their religion. I like how the author makes it clear we’re in a religious war on many different levels here. This is a bit outdated on the YouTube algorithms though I’m writing this is 2023 and the book was written in 2017 before a lot of YouTube shadow banning started. Still, a fun listen!

How to make relationship your god

Yes, that’s right. According to this book, if you want great relationships, forgo the 1st commandment. Make your spouse a god, your friend a god, etc. Basically in order to have a great relationship forget obedience to the Most High as #1 and create little gods of relationship to worship. And take care of yourself more so you can do this even better! Yes, they will love you in return. Who wouldn’t? But at a great cost to your salvation. If people don’t want anything to do with you anymore because you’d rather be obedient to the commandments in the Bible, especially the first commandment, than it’s time to say goodbye. This book equates worshipping relationships to worshipping the Most High God. Seriously wrong and dangerous.

Take care of yourself first, then your spouse

Basically you need to take care of yourself first and then you’ll have enough love to give back to your spouse. This was so refreshing to hear as I was taught to always sacrifice my needs and wants for my marriage and children and was then left with no more love to give. We need to stand up for ourselves and take care of ourselves so we have lots of love ready to give. Make more time for what makes you happy in life again. Set goals! Care for yourself first so you’re ready to care for others. It makes sense!

This provided some practical suggestions for teaching children at home as well as how to navigate potential naysayers with grace. I did enjoy this book for those reasons. However, it did not expose the enemy we are fighting against which is the public school system that surrounds us. There is no need for bravery if there is no enemy. The author provided many helpful Biblical quotes to equip those in this struggle for home education and I am happy for this. However, this author is still attached to many of systems of the public school including the starting and stopping of education in the home during what the public school system calls a "school year" beginning in September and ending in June. There should be a cleansing and destroying of the enemy's past ways of education before one can be built to obey God bravely in home education. There should also be no guilt whatsoever in protecting our children from these government mandated systems. If there is, perhaps any ungodly worship or idolization towards any school, schooling system, or government should be dealt with spiritually. This was not addressed in this book. We cannot carry any past idol worship and love for past schooling systems and governments into our home and expect to be bravely going against these systems at the same time. I do agree with the author that we must teach our children well in the home using Biblical commandments. Yet at the same time we must rid our lives from the past "public school commandments" in order to follow the Biblical commandments more fully. I would have liked to see some practical applications for spiritual cleansing in this with practical prayers we can do at home. Rather, it was a bit too sugary sweet in its overall approach with many quotes basically saying "You can do this!" without getting really gritty about the demons we're really fighting against. I must admit I did find the quotes and verses encouraging. But I wanted it taken to a deeper level spiritually and this book didn't do that for me. Overall, I was very happy to have found and listened to this book and would still suggest it to other moms.

Very cute story of a young boy and his mischievous dog in the Pacific Northwest. Nice narration. My 8-year-old daughter is currently reading this for homeschool. I easily enjoy these Cleary classics while I do chores with headphones and then I discuss them later with my daughter. Thanks Audible!
