The first book was a mostly solo Journey, but this one has tons of characters, and some of them are downright hilarious. The game systems continue to get more interesting and the world has finally expanded.

Lovely story.

Loved this book, so descriptive; I could see, feel and hear the sounds of the marsh. Didn't want it to end. The soft, slow narration of the book was calming and really help set the mood of the book.

A unique story about family survival in a LitRPG

There were so many unique things about this story - None of the characters have names, or descriptions, yet I can see them in my mind. Touching moments, irreverent family humor that really resonated and some scenes that are dark but handled well. The ending was bold and unexpected.

What I enjoyed most about this story was that is about more than the numbers, the game. This was a great Apocalypse story and a good LitRPG that really developed characters in a tough situation.

Looking forward to more from this series!

holy crap, these guys know how to write thrilling

this many books in and it still delivers tight, crisp story. no wasted chapters. hell, no wasted words to be honest. at no point was there a lull in pacing and intrigue.

Bob? Bobs? All the Bobs! Guppi is pretty interesting as well.

What does Ray Porter bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

his ability sound totally convincing when explaining the bob situations. You would think multiple versions of the same character would bleed together in a performance or even in reading it, but he nails it

Amazing work of science fiction and drama

This book met all my expectations and more, often keeping me up late to hear the next twist or turn. Emotionally wrenching at times, impactful and a never slowing pace kept me hooked from start to finish.
