A novel with a little mystery and a whole town full of characters.

This book was set in Pottstown. pa. In the thirties. It was very entertaining and I listened to it over a few days.
The dialogue was very snappy and characters all interesting and intertwined in the towns settings. I highly recommend it.

Truth Finds a Way

I think this is a story about finding the path of life in an entangled family that both loves and hurts each other. The character development is outstanding and as you listen you can feel the constrictions and expansions of each character’s heart. The author tackled big themes without getting sentimental.

Hate be gone!

This was an interesting story with a fiery 11 year old main character. The plot moved nicely and the characters drew you into their world. Some politicians might call this woke literature but I felt that the story was an honest portrayal of a small town in Mississippi.

This is a really great novel, the characters are fiery and stay with you. The plot meanders through his old stomping grounds and he paints his beautiful landscape with words.

Skill without Soul

This book is very well written. The story is incidental to Feelings, so although the story changes the feelings are paramount.
If I want a disjointed story I would read the news. I cannot recommend this book.

A story with great bones

I liked the overall premise of the story, 2 sisters who have made lifestyle choices that keep them apart.
The problem I have with the story are it’s supporting characters, they were good or evil and not fleshed out.
I liked the setting In Boston, she described the dark side in a realistic tone. It was definitely worth listening to, and don’t give up if it gets a little sluggish, it is provocative and depicts the problem of urban addiction.

Boring, Silly and Idiotic

What disappointed you about The Kind Worth Killing?

I listened to it in a long trip, and although it was compelling, it was so predictable there was absolutely no thinking involved. This is a mystery for idiots, much like watching a 60 minute TV show, entertaining but no substance.
