Read by Betty White herself. Just such a lovely woman. I found myself smiling and laughing. Really enjoyed this book.

It’s hard to have compassion for anyone but the victims and maybe that’s how it should be, but my argument is that many of the relationships that are also with the murderer, are also victims. Liz and her daughter Molly are examples of that. Liz was horribly manipulated, mistreated, and under the thumb of Ted Bundy. I feel like she truly loved him and was also devastated by what she learned was his true nature.

I liked the updated account from Liz and her daughter. Perspective is important and as we gain experience, our perspective changes.

This book was incredibly moving. Matthew Perry was a tortured soul and he was always striving for a better him, some peace, and a life worth living. I felt that his story, told by him, was heart-wrenching, He felt so alone but was surrounded by some amazing and supportive people. I wish he could have found that love that he so wanted, I wish he had found more purpose in what he wanted to do. I so wish his life had been one of joy. I think his story could save someone. I just wished it had saved him.

I love this book. I own the print as well as audible. I even liked the movie.

The narration on this is phenomenal, and the author is a word smith. Absolutely amazing book. I plan on listening to it again next year.

I recently lost a loved one and hospice was critical in her care.

This book has helped me so much to have some closure and to just feel like there is someone out there who truly cares.

This book was so well written and read. I’d recommend not listening to while at work though. I’m going to read again in print and I’m recommending to everyone who had a loved one who has received any kind of terminal diagnoses. Beautifully done and so heartfelt.

I love true crime. I’m a voracious reader and recently have taken a job where I have the privilege of sitting and listening to whatever I’d like. I got to go to a reading from Paul Holes and I greatly enjoyed it. His life was hard, but he is compassionate and a fierce champion of Justice and just really knowing more. There were a few parts where I felt the tears coming on during his recounting (he’s the narrator as well) and I identified with his anxiety attacks. Very good book.

Very much enjoyed this book. I have watched the documentary more then a few times, and hesitated to buy the audible book for work but I’m so glad I did. Narration was on point! I didn’t feel that the male narrator was making fun of the women involved in this book, but trying to depict them in a way that was respectful. The book itself felt well researched.

One of my favorite cases. The book is decent and I think the writing was well done in general. The narration was terrible though. Narrator sounds exasperated and it about ruined the audio book for me.

Narration Does Get Better

Fantastic book and I have read it in print several times and wanted to listed while at work.

Narrator does get better as the book continues but I almost didn’t want to listen because Brazil doesn’t seem to understand how to read a comma versus a period and would stop in the middle of a sentence. As she gets more comfortable, the narration becomes enjoyable.

Lots of details to pay attention to but very worth it. Highly recommend if you can get past the first three or so chapters of bad narration.
