Not much in the way of bedtime stories. Lots of prattle about the author history etc. not helpful for sleep. Narrators are ok.

Just plain stupidly terrible. Bought for a book club. Yuck. Disgusting seems. Mushrooms really. Bleck, yuck, terrible. Narrator had read every word like a robot. Story is not scary just gross.

Good writing. A little hard to follow the the back and forth of the time line. I will probably listen again just to get all the nuances of the story.

This was the biggest waste of time. Very wordy. The dragons kept saying my female. "I love the female". Just plain stupid.

OK not great

Writing and performance were just OK. The action dragged. the narrator did not alter her voice enough for different characters so you were sometimes not sure who was speaking.

Very tedious

I got this for a class I am taking and had to go get the print version. It was very tedious to read. He is a brilliant author but it is just not my thing to look up all the motifs and hiden meanings. The reader has such a thick accent I had a hard time understanding. It is not an Irish accent it is Scotch. He sounded like Shawn Connery but read to fast to be heard well.

Got me hooked

This has got me hooked on the series. I will be listening to more of these. Very descriptive of the people and the surroundings. There are lots of twists and turns to follow. Very erotic descriptions.

Good but not as good as the 1st book

I liked the descriptions of the lands and even the hotel. Very vivid I could see the places. The story was a good one with lots of twists and turns. It is just a little under the 1st in the series and the mating that keeps happening is kind of unbelievable in a group since it is supposedly so rare in the weir kind.

No, even though this fantasy I want it to be believable and I did not find this believable.

Would you ever listen to anything by Thea Harrison again?

Yes, recommendations from other listeners for the next book in this series have made me get the next in the series. Besides the writing is not all bad.

Which character – as performed by Sophie Eastlake – was your favorite?

Dunkin was the most beleivable and had a very little part. Pia too.

I really liked the 1st book and the second was good. I am hoping this was just a bad shot.
