It's good for a laugh

Don't often review books, I don't write amazingly insightful reviews. This book was good but not amazing, world building and pace were iffy. characters were forgettable but the story wasn't bad and I am interested to see how the story unfolds. The MC has a mess of skills and is completely inconsistent with his military attitude. His sidekicks are meh, not only are they meh they are also inconsistently mentioned scene to scene. I like the theme of this litrpg but the leveling and magic mechanics are loose and vague. Other people around him being so weak is explained once and it just sounded like the author justifying why the people he met could be considered close to his meager strength though they've been in the backrooms for years. Also something that bothers me about a lot of so-so writers is that they don't describe body position and body motions during combat. Therefore in my head while combat is taking place the characters are all standing still the entire fight acting like turrets with occasional movement. I always like this narrator and his accents are very good. He's not great at female voices but nobody is perfect. overall if you've made it through DOTF, primal hunter..randidly ghosthound, beware of chicken, and all of sandersons books. This is a decent time killer.

Right when I was stoked the most, it ended.

Great book as always, love how it's hard to foresee plot developments. I think perhaps the editing of narration has taken a decline..mouth noises were left in several times and weird pauses were somewhat frequent. But the book is worth for sure. This book ends at a peak of literary fun and I was sad to see it end so soon.

Just fkin buy it, another great one. Listened to several dozen litrpgs (Most just book one if that) and this is my favorite by far. Like if the other good few are 8/10 this series is about 12/10 or so..

It's hard to put a finger on why I've loved these two books so much so far. Travis is amazing as always but this author really makes realistic characters and an original plot come to life. Also... the countess is..erm..well anyway 5/5 will listen to all of the books. Side note I do hope the author knows where the books are going and doesn't get lost like so many other decent series starts I've come across.

Really good, some points of the story are a bit shallow but I loved it all the same. Never seemed to drag. narrator seems like a lunatic, awesome. again if youre looking for a deep romance isekai skip this one, it's all mysteries and fighting. written well, good plot, mc is smart and mostly mature. side npcs aren't faceless, people he cares for i wanted to live. looking forward to book 3.

I was happy with the whole thing.

NOT a bot review. If your hesitant to spend a credit on an unknown I say to you all this book was surprisingly good. Finished it in one session, which for mediocre books I can never do. The Mc has memory problems and is sometimes stupid but it's pretty understandable given his.. condition. I genuinely enjoyed this book, good narrator as well. Good all around.

Had some reservations but reviews pushed me past the okay sample. This book was a yelling, screaming fest but funny with good character building and an amazing power growth concept.
