Zero originality but not bad.
Revisado: 09-28-21
The story isn’t bad. The reason I gave story such a low score is because the characters aren’t theirs. They copied and pasted characters and groups from the popular space stories of our time and didn’t even try to hide it. If you can get past that the story is entertaining and holds your attention. RC is of course one of the best and brings the story to life. The writers over explain just about everything but some people need that. Overall I enjoyed it and will listen to the next book. I just can’t give a great review to writers who plagiarized so much of their content. I’m kinda surprised they haven’t been sued. Maybe if the series becomes more popular they will be. I don’t mind bootleg stuff as long as it works.

Historia
On the edge of the galaxy, a diplomatic mission to an alien planet takes a turn when the Legionnaires, an elite special fighting force, find themselves ambushed and stranded behind enemy lines. They struggle to survive under siege, waiting on a rescue that might never come. In the seedy starport of Ackabar, a young girl searches the crime-ridden gutters to avenge her father's murder; not far away, a double-dealing legionniare-turned-smuggler hunts an epic payday; and somewhere along the outer galaxy, a mysterious bounty hunter lies in wait.

So the story is good. I won’t spoil it so I can’t write much. I will say that right at the end I almost forgot what Galaxy I was reading about. I hope this doesn’t become a knock off because some of the characters and their traits are very familiar. We shall see. RC is great as always.

Historia
Alien invaders have come to Earth. Rade, vacationing in the south of France, is mightily pissed to have his liberty time so rudely interrupted by these extraterrestrials. But he was willing to let it go. He was done fighting wars, and more than ready to leave the grunt work to the professionals. But then the aliens made the mistake of bringing his family into the equation. Ouch. The invaders were counting on humanity falling quickly. What they weren't counting on was Rade's fury.

Great series, highly recommend
Revisado: 07-14-21
This entire series has been great. Normally by this point in a series the writer starts getting lazy and making his characters do idiotic things that are way out of character to move the story forward. So far that hasn’t happened. The story moves forward naturally and keeps you interested. In case you don’t know what I mean I’ll give some examples. Some series start out great. Then all of a sudden the 20 year navy seal veteran “forgets” his rifle next to his bed and walks down a dark hallway to investigate a sound. Or that same “badass” forgets to load his rifle or can’t hit a target 10 feet in front of him and half his team is wiped out. As you can tell that’s a sore spot. I have dropped quite a few series for that type of lazy writing. The characters in Argonauts are interesting and likable. Their actions are believable and in character. I love this series so far and recommend it to anyone looking for an action packed military type story. The futuristic equipment used is well thought out and explained well. The voice actor is also great. He uses different voices well and it’s easy to follow along with the story. Great series.

Better than the last but still a bit overdone.
Revisado: 03-04-21
This book was good. They have toned down some of the ridiculous stretches from the last book. There are still quite a few points where the story is pushed forward only buy using zombies that run 4x faster than Usain Bolt or jump 10x higher than the human body is capable of. Then you consider that they are decomposing and almost all are injured and you just shake your head. The story is good and doesn’t need these lazy story movers. A horde of zombies is terrifying enough and a mass of them pose enough of a threat that it’s not necessary to insert these exaggerated plot points. The books are written and can’t be changed now so it is what it is. Just be aware as the listener that these issues do exist. It is a decent story overall and I will continue to listen and give my 2 cents. RC Bray is great as always. He’s obviously struggling with the British accents and at times drops them all together. He’s still my favorite narrator and makes the story come to life in your minds eye.

Historia
The world's last floating nuclear supercarrier looks into the face of oblivion as her thinned, exhausted, and beleaguered crew face the largest herd of dead ever recorded. Soon the ship's five-acre flight deck will become the scene of a furious and desperate set-piece battle - like no combat any modern army has seen since Stalingrad. The ranks of the dead are infinite, and those of the living are tiny, depleted, and running out of time...and of hope.

And it was all going so well.
Revisado: 02-24-21
The story till now has been great. Obviously with a zombie apocalypse story you have to suspend belief to a certain extent. Up to this point its been within reason. No veteran navy seals that can’t hit a zombie right in front of them or leave their gun laying around and walk into a dark room, you know the classics lazy writer crutches. And then his book. Now zombies are falling off of 4 story buildings and then running 50 miles per hour and catching speeding vehicles. A storm of zombies? Really? A wall of zombies 3 stories high and 8 miles wide and long just rolling along as fast a helicopter? And zombies that jump 2 stories off the already 3 story high “zombie storm” and grab on to aircraft pulling them out of the sky? Come on guys! It was all going so well. The only reason you got 2 stars is cause RC bray is awesome.

Worth a listen.
Revisado: 02-15-21
The story is better than most zombie books flooding the markets the past few years. There are still small issues but the writer did keep them to a minimum. The problem with most of these zombie books are the lazy writing used to move the story forward. You know what I mean. A veteran navy seal can’t shoot the zombie 5 feet away or sets his gun down in the hallway and walks into the dark room unarmed for no reason. This series does a good job of keeping these to a minimum. In fact I can only think of a few. A truck hood that has been rusted open for 2 years mysteriously slamming closed by itself comes to mind. The performance from RC is good as always and the story is believable and moves along well. Feel confident to purchase and enjoy. I recommend this series.

45 chapters.
Revisado: 01-25-21
This is a good story. In fact it’s great. You will have to wade through 45 chapters of confusing story before it starts to make any sense at all. It was a free book with my membership or I would not have bought it. If I had paid money for it I would have returned it after 30 chapters of nonsense. Now that I’ve made it through this book I will buy the next one. It really is an entertaining story once all the background information is read. This first book is almost entirely backstory. If you are in the market for a new series I can tell you it’s well written and performed. I guess we’ll see how the next book goes but if you have the patience and time I’d recommend this book.

Was going so great and could have been epic.
Revisado: 01-11-21
The first two books are very good. The second went a little weird at the end but it was plausible and therefore interesting. The third book started off well enough and then the author made the classic cardinal mistake. He started making our characters do stupid stuff to move the story along. People making mistakes to move the story is not a deal breaker when used sparingly but it should always be within character. Making a character who until then had proven to be smart, resourceful, and competent do stupid stuff to move the story line forward or stretch it out repeatedly is just lazy writing. Then you add a villain who has the most amazing luck in the world and your story goes right down the drain. Obviously the writer was struggling to wrap the story up and decided to take the easy way out and just get the book printed. This is what separates the great writers from the rest. A truly great self respecting writer would never just Mary Sue the villain and dumb down our protagonist to get to the end. This story could have been epic. And of course RC Bray is amazing as always. It’s worth a listen if your board and can get the box set like I did. I wouldn’t buy each title. If it were a movie I’d say wait for the DVD and don’t pay to go watch in the theater.

This is the story of Michael Talbot, his family, and his friends: a band of ordinary people trying to get by in extraordinary times. When disaster strikes, Mike, a self-proclaimed survivalist, does his best to ensure the safety and security of those he cares for. Book One of the Zombie Fallout Trilogy follows our lead character at his self-deprecating, sarcastic best. What he encounters along the way leads him down a long dark road, always skirting the edge of insanity.

Great story with none of the lazy stuff in the other zombie books.
Revisado: 12-06-20
This is a great story with none of the lazy story pushers like other zombie book “ extinction cycle”. Too often in these types of stories the writer gets lazy and starts having the characters do stupid idiotic stuff to move the story forward. You know, tier 1 delta operators who can’t shoot a zombie 5 feet away or leave their gun against the wall and walk down a dark hallway. This is an everyday dude dealing with the apocalypse while trying to survive his family. Well worth the time and money. This book at least is great and I definitely recommend.
