Beautiful story of love and endurance

I recommend this book to anyone who wants to believe in the power of enduring love and anyone who wants to understand some of what a stroke can do to an individual’s brain. Love can overcome so many obstacles and save someone from the darkness (in this case after a stroke and an inability to communicate for someone who loves words and expression). The beautiful twists and turns the author’s backstory provides of their love was interwoven so perfectly with the challenges and sadnesses of change. Love evolves with the relationship and gives hope that someone can remain true even in the toughest of circumstances. The entire book is phrased and describes every feeling so perfectly that you become immersed and can imagine yourself in their circumstances. One of my favorite books ever.
