Historia
There are several stages of sleep which people pass through in the course of a good restful night. In each stage our sleep gets deeper, our bodies gets more relaxed and our brainwave patterns slow down. The deepest and most rejuvenating levels of sleep are associated with Delta brainwave patterns. Delta Sleep is the most physically relaxed stage of sleep and is the time when the body recuperates and rebalances itself for the new day.

Didn't work for me
Revisado: 06-15-13
The sounds were soothing and I dozed off a few times, but did not fall into a deep sleep. At the end, I took the earphones off and put my earplugs back in, and my sleep was worse than usual.
Can't say if it was due to the discomfort of the earphones, or the sound waves did not work for me. I've used alpha wave bianural beats before they worked way better for me...

What do you really want? The good news is that whatever it is, you can have it! The only thing is, attaining it is going to be a lot easier than you think and more fun than you can imagine! This is because the universe operates on the principle of Effortless Success: When you get really clear and honest about what you want, everything in the world conspires to help you get it.

Easy Listening and Very Inspiring
Revisado: 02-09-13
I'm on my second listen.
Michael Neill uses a very conversational style which is engaging.
The core message is to be honest with yourself, connect what you really want, and to be happy before, and not after, you achieve your goals. Start with happy and everything else can be approached with joy versus desperation or struggle.
Lot's of great insights, wonderful teaching stories too.

Succinct, Rich, Profound and Accessible.

This is my first Chopra book, audio or otherwise. I now understand how he has developed such a following. His teaching style is engaging, intelligent and sympathetic.
As the title suggests, he names seven spiritual laws which are based on various eastern traditions which he alludes to at times. If I would change anything, I wish he would reference his ideas more, for those of us who like to go deeper into exploring topics of interest.
Interestingly, Chopra's background is that of being raised by a Hindu mother and a Sikh Father, educated in a Catholic School. He also was a transcendental meditation practitioner for some time.
It explains something about the multidimensionality of his writings.
Each spiritual law comes with a suggested exercise for putting it into practice, read in the first person, as in: I will practice the first spiritual law by etc etc
There are some musical interludes that separate the chapters, which is a little dated but still works well.
As a narrator, Chopra is excellent. He has a great baritone, and an accent and intonation that is melodic and a pleasure to listen to.
Entertaining enough to listen to on my commute. I've already listened to it twice and will surely listen to it more.

Essential Life Practices
Revisado: 11-03-12
This is a luminous guide to living a life of peace and freedom. It feels like two books- the first which details each of the four agreements, and a second which gives the philosophical basis or belief system. Some references to Jesus here and here, I guess to engage the western reader who is likely raised Christian.
The simple agreements are not so simple to implement, yet when they are applied, clearly lighten the burden of attachment, anger, pettiness and disappointment.

A Guide to Life
Revisado: 09-06-12
Simply great. Other reviewers complained about it being too long. I disagree. It's like spending time with a wise elder, the material is so rich.
The audiobook is packed full of wisdom, compassion and practical advice. The kind of book I will turn to again and again. I truly feel that Covey's book is the highwater mark for self-development. I understand now why his words have become part of the American vernacular.
His voice conveys a lot about the depth of his feeling, insight and experience.
