Fantastic narration of a classic!
Revisado: 01-19-23
I don’t recall the last time I read “To Kill a Mockingbird” but it has been many years. It popped up on Audible and I bought it because Sissy Spacek is an amazing actress and I assumed her narration would be the same. It was! I could not stop listening until the book was finished. You won’t be sorry!

Historia
From #1 New York Times-best-selling author Nora Roberts comes a novel of a woman who needs nothing, a man who sees everything, and the web of deceit, greed, and danger that brings them together - and that could tear them apart… As a professional house-sitter and freelance writer, nothing ties Lila Emerson down - not her work, not a home, and definitely not a relationship. She spends her life moving from one job to the next, sometimes crashing at a friend's Manhattan apartment.

Great book, but Julia Whelan makes it!
Revisado: 01-08-23
This was one of Nora‘s best books, but what made it so fantastic was Julia Whelan‘s incredible narration. Every book that Julia narrates is special and distinctive. She is very gifted. She makes the most ordinary book seem like an exemplary work of literature!

Epic narration!
Revisado: 11-11-22
This story was good, although not Nora‘s best. Will Damron was just incredible, and he made the book. I probably would have put it down had I read it, rather than listened to it. He is the Meryl Streep of narrators with his extraordinary accents - perfect for this book!

I read this book many years ago before audiobooks were even created. I became interested in it again after noting that Scott brick was narrating. His Russian accent was exemplary and he brought the story to life. This is fiction, but it is an insightful look at Russian American relations in that era.

Having inspired a classic film and Broadway play, The Caine Mutiny is Herman Wouk's boldly dramatic, brilliantly entertaining novel of life—and mutiny—on a Navy warship in the Pacific theater. It was immediately embraced upon its original publication as one of the first serious works of American fiction to grapple with the moral complexities and the human consequences of the Second World War. Joe Pike: THE MAN!
Revisado: 09-29-21
I’ve read or listened to all the Elvis Cole/Joe Pike books. Hands down, LA Requiem and The Last Detective are the Crais masterpieces. (Must be read in that order!)
This book delves into Cole’s tumultuous past, just as LA Requiem revealed Pike’s. Great character development and solid stories. If you choose to listen, you will hear James Daniels at his best - awesome narrator with a wealth of character intonations. He is exemplary.
