Edge of my seat
Revisado: 11-01-24
Fabulous first installment. I literally sat on the edge of my seat a few times through this book. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I need to go get book two.

Violent is an understatement
Revisado: 11-16-22
I did like the story. And the performance was up to the standard set by Mr. Marsters. But the Overall Continuous Violence became near monotonous. I lost track of the story at points as to who was fighting who and why. You might consider an index while enjoying this installment.

Sexist, sure, but fun.
Revisado: 03-15-21
Robert Jordan can write an action scene! Had me on the edge of my seat for the last two chapters. However, God rest his soul, the man was one hell of a sexist. But, I guess you take the good with the bad.

Much Better
Revisado: 01-18-20
The narrator voice that Michael Kramer has settled on is much better than the first book. I no longer feel I’m listening to an actor mocking a newscaster. LOL Great story, great performances from Mr. Cramer and Ms. Reading.

Such a great series
Revisado: 12-04-19
I’ve been a fan of this book since the 90s, and was in mourning when Jordan passed. These books take me back to that time of my life, as well as a reminder of the talent that was Robert Jordan.
The narrator, on the other hand, is a bit of a disappointment. The voices for several character are a bit off. For instance, Min should sound like an arrogant teenager, but she sounds like a sultry full-grown woman. Lan, who is old and life-weathered, sounds like a 20 something just learning the ropes.
But this is the first book. Here’s hoping these points can be adjusted.

A fresh take on an old story
Revisado: 07-08-19
Everyone wonders what happens after death. Charles Brass takes us on a wild ride in a new dimension of reality to address that question. In this fabulous tale, those who are gifted to touch an alternate dimension are trained and assigned by the government. But they are still just average people, with average problems, only with unique solutions.
Great escape
