Historia
Developing and implementing a strategy is the central task of a leader. A good strategy is a specific and coherent response to - and approach for - overcoming the obstacles to progress. A good strategy works by harnessing and applying power where it will have the greatest effect. Yet, Rumelt shows that there has been a growing and unfortunate tendency to equate Mom-and-apple-pie values, fluffy packages of buzzwords, motivational slogans, and financial goals with “strategy”.

This is an incredible book that breaks down strategy across seperate industries. I learned alot and it reinforced several principles I previously learned in the military.

You deserve to be rich. You deserve to make a purchase without fear that your check might bounce. You deserve to go on vacation. You deserve to care for loved ones without worrying about bills. You deserve to live the way you want, without reservations or fear. You deserve freedom—financial freedom. If you agree, you’ve come to the right place. We grew up in New York playing basketball together. As kids, both of us were fascinated by finance, curious about the stock market and how money moves among systems and pockets.

Historia
Communion is the iconic classic in which Whitley Strieber describes his 1985 close encounter experiences. This book, which fundamentally changed the way we understand close encounters and alien abductions, is presented here with a new introduction by the author. Do not miss this great classic and the powerful introduction that explores the situation as it stands today—even more provocative and important now, as official sources are admitting that UFOs are real unknowns and that they seem to have something to do with close encounters.

This book is the red pill
Revisado: 11-10-24
this book was compelling, graphic, and fascinating. I don't necessarily agree with all of the conclusions that the author describes on the nature of the "visitors" and why they are here, but I learned a great deal. I strongly recommend everyone read this with an open mind, and understand that in the near future disclosure will occur then this literature may become one of the most important books of our generation.

When Elon Musk was a kid in South Africa, he was regularly beaten by bullies. One day a group pushed him down some concrete steps and kicked him until his face was a swollen ball of flesh. He was in the hospital for a week. But the physical scars were minor compared to the emotional ones inflicted by his father, an engineer, rogue, and charismatic fantasist.

Historia
Harriet Tubman: Conductor on the Underground Railroad was praised by the New Yorker as “an evocative portrait,” and by the Chicago Tribune as “superb.” It is a gripping and accessible portrait of the heroic woman who guided more than 300 slaves to freedom and who is expected to be the face of the new $20 bill. Harriet Tubman was born a slave and dreamed of being free. She was willing to risk everything - including her own life - to see that dream come true. After her daring escape, Harriet became a conductor on the secret Underground Railroad.

The Respect She Deserves
Revisado: 12-16-20
This book was an incredible gift of knowledge to the reader. The narration was perfect, and far greater than the many other Harriet Tubman books that I have listened to. This book captures more of Harriet Tubman as a person and not a simple folktale. This needs to be circulated through every public school in the nation. the Author did this woman Justice and the Narrator brought her to life!

CLOWNISH DISGUSTING AND BELITTLING
Revisado: 11-13-20
This is the Worst narration I have ever heard on Audible. Every time the narrator uses inflection in his voice he overreacts and comes off very condescending. This is a really important story in American history which deserves a more respectful representation. The black person voice interpretations are clownish, disgusting, and belittling. Casually Using terms like African Savage, and poor creatures to describe black people speaks to the callus indifference of this entire work. I am thoroughly disappointed, this feels more like a black Forest Gump folk lore than a practical account of an American hero.

Historia
Experience a bold take on this classic autobiography as it’s performed by Oscar-nominated Laurence Fishburne. In this searing classic autobiography, originally published in 1965, Malcolm X, the Muslim leader, firebrand, and Black empowerment activist, tells the extraordinary story of his life and the growth of the Human Rights movement. His fascinating perspective on the lies and limitations of the American dream and the inherent racism in a society that denies its non-White citizens the opportunity to dream, gives extraordinary insight into the most urgent issues of our own time.

Unfiltered History lesson
Revisado: 10-30-20
The narrator did a phenomenal job with this book. Laurence Fishburne did so much more than tell the story, he brought it to life by speaking with deep passion, enthusiasm and authority. This is the single best narration that I have heard not spoken by the actual author.

One man's opinion, while sitting on the toilet
Revisado: 06-29-19
1. the audio sounds like he recorded this while sitting in the bathroom and I never got over it.
2. this was the single most unorganized book I have ever listened to.
3. instead of sharing his specific stories or examples or even research the author told us what is best. no context, we should simply do it because he knows best.
very disappointing listen
