good book but.

Good book but Cassie is the most frustratingly foolish protagonist ever. I really enjoyed the story except for Cassie's selfish moments

the narrator's male voice is god aweful, like really really bad. I think the story line is interesting so I'm going to stick it out even though clean stories aren't my thing. I just really wish they picked another narrator

misleading title

the title and summary are misleading. spoiler alert....
theres very little of him being a wonder perfect doctor in fact majority of the book is him not wanting to be a doctor and bailing on my duties as such. another then that its a cute romance but not want i expected the MMC is arrogant at all his just focused on his new dream and is really nice from the beginning.

i wanted to love it but

oh boy i really wanted to love Rosa. she a Liberian how can i not love her. Unfortunately shes a hypocrite for a good 95% of the book. SHe continually complained about John being a lair (he didnt honestly lie just wasn't forthcoming with info for good reasons) when she herself was lying and plotting against John from day 1. i was excited because unlike Jewels & Ella, Rose isnt a Lady or Lady-to-be so i wouldn't have to listen to but ima lady for 39 chapters...but i wasn't so lucky. instead of but "i am a lady" i got 39 chapters of im clever, ima scholar. and John lied and manipulated me. Thank goodness for Shane's sexy voice and the steamy sex scenes if not I would have gave up. Rosa is the most useless, weak, and annoying FMC in the series thus far. hopefully book 4 will be be better

i love the concept & story

it is a wonder and exciting plot and world, but for me the MCF was very whinny, argumentative,and annoying. im not sure if ita just how she is written or if it was the narrator way of voicing her, but everytime she spoke i wanted to threw my phone in aggravation. hopefully the MCF in book two is better

zerp plot/story line just sex

this series is 45 mins of teasing and sex scenes. i listen to all of the first book and part of the secind and there's not really a point. theres no character development. things happen with no real point or purpose and the conversations between characters are a joke its alot of i want him/her but i cant want them. dont waste ur credit. on a good note the male narrator is good but the female narrator is aweful

good but alittle repetitive on the sex scenes

i really enjoyed set 1-3, and 4. by 5 i lost interest and fell asleep a few times and didnt bother rewinding . six was meh. i dont know the story in 5 &6 were so so and the sex scenes were repetitive. there was one new addition to the sex scenes but it was introduced in book 4 and repeated n 5 &6. I dont think ill by continuing on to the next two. i want to see the story play out but not for 1 credit.

i wish i didnt buy it. i wanted to love this but more chapter 1 unwas like wtf? theres clearly a backstory, which if u read the prequel might make sense but its not available on audible. there doesnt seem to be much of an actual story outside of the kidnapped bride who spoilee alert wants to be with the guy who kidnapped her. the sex scenes are dull and calling it bdsm is straight bs. its chapters on chapters of her getting fingered with promises of if you continue to be "bad" ill punish you...but no hard core "im rip you open with my cock" sex in sight. disclaimer i didnt finish it im at chapter 22 of what 40 n still no real sex. now i was willing to blazen it out but the murders were freaking aweful..spoiler alert...

in one scene kallnum is killing a guy slowly to torture him and drag it out but he drugs him first. whats the point if hes alseep that not torture. theres another scene where he kills a guy to make it look like food poisoning but also knifes him in the chest. wtf was the point of poisoning him. kallnum supposed to be a doctor but these to murders medically make no damn sense. idk . . just dont waste the credit. oh last thing other than calling elena his persephone and being referred as hades theres nothing really related to the story of the greek gods. i know its not a retelling in the true sense but dont tease us with a title like that to give us crappy murders, Elena gets fingered every chapter and little to no actual story.

okay im offically done ranting now.
