I unfortunately, I watched the movie before reading the book. The number of "details" missed in the movie are thankfully all here. It was interesteing to see how Hollywood had taken and twisted certain segments of the story then disregarded others. This was an excellent listen/read. If you've watched the movie and are craving more about Andy/Emily then read on.

This is a great listen for men or women. Since I am a woman, I would like to see a women's version of it told by two women. That aside, it's easy to read and very informative. I talked about it so much that my husband willingly listened to it too. He loved the “fresh powder skiing description - he said it was perfect and that the author definitely new what he was talking about!

If you are in business - you have to read this book. Easy to listen to and worth re-listening to anytime you feel a need to be re-energized about why you're in business. The small steps in the right direction - can make a big difference.

Great listen, lots of material here to dress up your small talk while mingling with strangers at cocktail parties. It is a fun book, with lots of new perspectives, insights and facts. I would recommend this book to anyone who has a need to collect unusual/fascinating information. I'm going to read this one again very soon.

Sorry to sound harsh but... this was the biggest disappointment of any audible book I've downloaded so far. The title is very discriptive - but that's where it stops. The thinking is very dated and degrading to women with any initiatives. It also reflects poorly on men - they are made out to be lazy with no hope of succeeding on their own in this book.
Don't waste your time - really. If you want to be a stay at home Mom start your own business on eBay or do anything to help yourself.

I remember reading this book in school, many years ago - so when my son brought it home to read as english 8 homework, I decidied to download it one evening so that we could discuss it together after he finished reading it. It's a great story for many reasons - the class differences and similarities are very well detailed. The main character is very captivating in the book and is easy to lissen to as an audible book. It's hard to stop listening - luckily it's not a long book.
