Historia
How do you define yourself when others have already decided who you are? Six years ago, when Camden Daniels came back from war without his younger brother, no one in the small town of Alba, Colorado, would forgive him - especially his father. He left, swearing never to return. But a desperate message from his father brings it all back. The betrayal. The pain. And the need to go home again. But home is where the one person he still loves is waiting. Willow. The one woman he can never have. Because there are secrets buried in Alba that are best left in the dark.

Lovely story
Revisado: 10-04-24
Nice to catch up with favorite characters and learn more about Marcus. So happy he found his HEA!
The Narrator was good but I didn’t enjoy her for this story. Her Miriam was harsh rather than high-pitched as is described; and her Marcus and Matthew are not pleasing to the ear.

Historia
Bringing the magic and suspense of the All Souls Trilogy to a deeply satisfying conclusion, this highly anticipated finale went straight to number one on the New York Times best seller list. In The Book of Life, Diana and Matthew time-travel back from Elizabethan London to make a dramatic return to the present - facing new crises and old enemies. At Matthew’s ancestral home, Sept-Tours, they reunite with the beloved cast of characters from A Discovery of Witches - with one significant exception.

Historia
Twenty-year-old Violet Sorrengail was supposed to enter the Scribe Quadrant, living a quiet life among books and history. Now, the commanding general—also known as her tough-as-talons mother—has ordered Violet to join the hundreds of candidates striving to become the elite of Navarre: dragon riders. But when you’re smaller than everyone else and your body is brittle, death is only a heartbeat away...because dragons don’t bond to “fragile” humans. They incinerate them.

Great story
Revisado: 08-01-23
A little Harry Potter, Hunger Games, Divergent & How to Train a Dragon. Lots of fun and very enjoyable! Author could be less repetitive - I kept thinking “you said that already”.
Narrator was awful! Her intonations are confusing. Im not always sure what is expo or dialogue or who said it. Then for the absolute last chapter they introduce a male narrator that has to do 4-5 male voices and I wasn’t crazy about him either.

Horribly predictable
Revisado: 06-26-23
Excellent narration.
The story is horribly predicable and long winded. I kept asking myself if the character was really that dumb.

Historia
For Lila Reyes, a summer in England was never part of the plan. But then the Trifecta happened, and everything—including Lila herself—fell apart. Worried about Lila’s mental health, her parents make a new plan for her: Spend three months with family friends in Winchester, England, to reset. But with the lack of sun, a grumpy inn cook, and a small town lacking Miami flavor (in food and otherwise), what would be a dream trip for some feels more like a nightmare to Lila…until she meets Orion Maxwell. It isn’t long before Lila is not only charmed by Orion, but England itself.

Unexpectedly Charming
Revisado: 06-12-23
Absolutely delightful! It is all the joys and heart smiles of a warm cup of cafe con leche while sitting outside in a Spring breeze. I laughed and I cried all sorts of tears - what more can you ask for. The Narrator was also spot on.

Historia
Amber Patterson is fed up. She's tired of being a nobody: a plain, invisible woman who blends into the background. She deserves more - a life of money and power like the one blond-haired, blue-eyed goddess Daphne Parrish takes for granted. To everyone in the exclusive town of Bishops Harbor, Connecticut, Daphne - a socialite and philanthropist - and her real-estate mogul husband, Jackson, are a couple straight out of a fairy tale. Amber's envy could eat her alive...if she didn't have a plan.

The ending was good
Revisado: 05-18-23
The first 1/2 drags on quite a bit… and there is a predictable aspect to the story but the ending is actually pretty good, no loose ends. The narration isn’t my favorite: Amber is too monotone, but Daphne is on point.

Not my favorite
Revisado: 01-18-23
The narrator is unreliable. The story only begins to makes sense in the last 90min but in a way that is completely unrelated to everything that came before. I was confused throughout but not in the enjoyable way of trying to decipher a mystery.
The performance was good overall although there were momenta when I couldn’t distinguish between the characters. I would listen to her again.
