Five years ago Corin Cadence's brother entered the Serpent Spire - a colossal tower with ever-shifting rooms, traps, and monsters. Those who survive the spire's trials return home with an attunement: a mark granting the bearer magical powers. According to legend, those few who reach the top of the tower will be granted a boon by the spire's goddess. He never returned. Now it's Corin's turn. He's headed to the top floor, on a mission to meet the goddess.

Historia
Quentin Coldwater is brilliant but miserable. A senior in high school, he's still secretly preoccupied with a series of fantasy novels he read as a child, set in a magical land called Fillory. Imagine his surprise when he finds himself unexpectedly admitted to a very secret, very exclusive college of magic in upstate New York, where he receives a thorough and rigorous education in the craft of modern sorcery.

A rather mundane book
Revisado: 07-28-16
Would you try another book from Lev Grossman and/or Mark Bramhall?
Mark Bramhall read just fine but the author just rambled
Would you ever listen to anything by Lev Grossman again?
Not sure... It would take some doing
Did the narration match the pace of the story?
Reader was fine... It was the lack of a story and the rambling that annoyed me
If this book were a movie would you go see it?
NO!
Any additional comments?
To all authors. Stay on point. It's not about how many words you can write.
It's all about content.

Historia
"Three knives were buried up to their brass cross guards in the man's chest. Richard recognized the knife handles. All three were the style carried by the men of the First File. He looked from those blades that should have killed the big man, up to his face. That was when he realized the true horror of the situation, and the reason for the unbearable stench of death." Sequel to the #1 New York Times best seller The Omen Machine.

Goodkind belabors every issue
Revisado: 11-10-15
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
I did enjoy the story but it would be a much better book if it were 12 hours instead of 17. Goodkind tells every argument three different ways. Once is quite enough Terry.
If you’ve listened to books by Terry Goodkind before, how does this one compare?
Because of the rambling around a 5/10
Have you listened to any of Sam Tsoutsouvas’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Sam is one of my favorite readers. Also tell a Great Tale.
Was The Third Kingdom worth the listening time?
12 hours of it surely was. The other 5 was just filling time
Any additional comments?
Terry Goodkind is a great writer. I just wish he didn't think he has to make the books longer than they need to be. I really don't need to be told why in five different ways. In this case Samantha was going with him but it took almost an hour to get it out.

Historia
There are millions of stories in the city - some magical, some tragic, others terror-filled or triumphant. Jonah Kirk’s story is all of those things as he draws listeners into his life in the city as a young boy, introducing his indomitable grandfather, also a "piano man"; his single mother, a struggling singer; and the heroes, villains, and everyday saints and sinners who make up the fabric of the metropolis in which they live - and who will change the course of Jonah’s life forever. Welcome to The City, a place of evergreen dreams where enchantment and malice entwine.

Very Disappointing
Revisado: 07-27-14
What disappointed you about The City?
The monotone voice of the reader put me to sleep. Very near no articulation
What could Dean Koontz have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
Try writing a story that doesn't wait 12 hours to have any excitement.
What didn’t you like about Korey Jackson’s performance?
Very Monotone
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
I really just wanted it to end so that I could listen to something more interesting

Great Story
Revisado: 04-08-13
What made the experience of listening to The First Confessor the most enjoyable?
The First Confessor took me back to one of my favorite series.
Terry found a way to continue the series when I thought it was finished.
Who was your favorite character and why?
The sinister 2nd First Wizard Lohan.
Very sinister
Which character – as performed by Kellie Fitzgerald – was your favorite?
She obviously got Magda right.
I normally do not like a woman reading to me but Kellie did a great job
Any additional comments?
All in all though not the best of the series, this was a fine addition to the series

Historia
Can the laws of physics be broken? Are there angels and guides watching over you? Does this supposedly rational universe have room for magic? “Absolutely,” teaches Richard Bartlett, “And that only scratches the surface of what's possible.” Over the years of teaching the technology of consciousness he calls Matrix Energetics, Bartlett and his partner Melissa Joy have seen inexplicable healings, radical transformation, and phenomena so absurd that they can only be called miraculous.

A Mind Expanding Journey into the Matrix
Revisado: 03-18-13
Would you listen to Into the Matrix again? Why?
I have listened to this program a number of times and as usual the Matrix team continue to expound on the Matrix Energetics System
What did you like best about this story?
Richard and Melissa are Great together. Richard can be loud and in your face at times but his message is always on point. They teach how to get out of your head and into your heart where all possibilities are possible.
Which scene was your favorite?
I am currently studying Walter Russell physics and was very open to both Richard's and Melissa's ideas
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I have never liked Richard story about him driving 65 MPH in a raging snow storm.
What kind of idiot would do such a thing. I wish he would find a more credible story to relate to angels and archetypes.
Any additional comments?
I've been to multiple seminars on Matrix Energetics and practice it on a daily basis.
The benefits are tremendous.
