Historia
If the Roaring Twenties are remembered as the era of "flaming youth," it was F. Scott Fitzgerald who lit the fire. His semiautobiographical first novel, This Side of Paradise, became an instant bestseller and established an image of seemingly carefree, party-mad young men and women out to create a new morality for a new, post-war America.

A consummate experience for the seasoned American
Revisado: 06-30-22
The narrator heightened the brilliance of this first novel of Fitzgerald. Written in the early 1920s, the American experience of Fitzgerald upper middle-class realizes in prose his young creative years. It is no wonder his genius overwhelmed his passionate emotional mind. Fitzgerald died at 44 in a small apartment in Hollywood, sober but spent.

Historia
Published in 1922, Fitzgerald's second novel chronicles the relationship of Anthony Patch, Harvard-educated, aspiring aesthete, and his beautiful wife, Gloria, as they await to inherit his grandfather's fortune. A devastating satire of the nouveaux rich and New York's nightlife, of reckless ambition and squandered talent, it is also a shattering portrait of a marriage fueled by alcohol and wasted by wealth. The Beautiful and Damned, Fitzgerald wrote to Zelda in 1930, "was all true."

The Beautiful Are Damned
Revisado: 04-21-22
With all their beauty and money, in a way, Anthony and Gloria Patch were damned. Alcohol and pride ruled Anthony and a leased beauty haunted Gloria as she turned twenty-nine.
Fitzgerald’s inherent story reads like his diary and foreshadow of his own and Zelda’s “roaring twenties” marriage. In the end of their story, Scott lived alone in an old apartment in Hollywood and his wife died in a fire in an asylum.

THE FACTS prove Ron Ward Guilty; but the race card is played.
Revisado: 12-07-21
Q? Would the hosts defend a white 15 year old boy with as much compassion as they did this black teen?
Ronald Ward raped one of the 76 year old women, saying he was "forced at knife point" by another man. The hosts find it hard to believe a boy of 15 could killed three people in the home. Case in point: in Florida two black brothers, 15 and 16, held 4 white siblings hostage, forcing them to have sex with each other (including oral sex) at gunpoint and then slaughtered all four victims. One sister lived and identified the two boys who were prosecuted, tried, and convicted. The teachers for the defense said both black boys were good kids and couldn’t believe they committed such a heinous crime. The prosecutor showed their teachers a picture of the four naked victims lying on the floor in their own blood. Therefore, young teenagers can be monstrous psychopaths and commit unconscionable crimes.
After the conviction publicity made Ronald’s trial a race issue in spite of the facts that proved him guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. Ronald’s fingerprints found at the scene the night the crime was committed.
Note it is far-fetched that two 76 year old ladies’ home would be a drug house for drug dealers. Also telling is that Ronald had several versions of “what happened” -including accusing the murders at others. Both juries, white and black/mixed came to same verdict: Guilty as charged.

This audiobook recording with Alfred Molina is good. IMO, the definitive performance of “True West,” was the 1984 television film adaptation with John Malkovich and Gary Sinise. Considered his best play, TRUE WEST is Sam Shepard’s 1980 drama of sibling rivalry.

The most fatal mistake? Trust. It's the foundation of any enduring relationship between friends, lovers, spouses, and families. But when trust is placed in those who are not what they seem, the results can be deadly. Ann Rule, who famously chronicled her own shocking experience of unknowingly befriending a sociopath in The Stranger Beside Me, offers a riveting, all-new collection from her true-crime files, with the lethally shattered bonds of trust at the core of each blood-soaked account.
