Historia
Turned into a vampire against her will, 28-year-old Merit found her way into the dark circle of Chicago's vampire underground, where she learned there was more to supernaturals than met the eye - and more supernaturals than the public ever imagined. And not all the secrets she learned were for sharing - among humans or inhumans. Now Merit is on the hunt, charging across the stark American Midwest, tailing a rogue supernatural intent on stealing an ancient artifact that could unleash catastrophic evil on the world. But Merit is also the prey.

Historia
Cricket Kendall's birthday is a little more than a month away. She's just moved to Emery Ridge, Colorado, for her senior year of high school in the hopes her eccentric aunt, Aurora, might help her learn all she needs to know about becoming a full-fledged witch. Just a few days after moving to her new town, Aurora introduces Cricket to a young werewolf from the local pack. Theo Ashbrooke is funny, charming, and super-freaking-hot. Cricket and Theo connect right away, and it doesn't take long before they're spending almost all of their time together.

the cursing is ridiculous
Revisado: 05-08-24
As a 28yo southern woman, I'm use to hearing curse words but have never cursed myself so hearing "fucking" in every single sentence is disgusting.
There are no other curse words. Just "fucking" every fucking sentence at least once fucking time that's fucking disgusting and means I can't listen to the fucking book

Historia
Tying to escape her past, Ari is working to atone for her actions and have a normal human life. The only problem with that? She isn't human. Unlike most werewolves, she avoids as much contact with the supernatural world as possible, building a life for herself in the human world. Until one day her past catches up with her, and she is forced to immerse herself in the supernatural world. Offered protection from the local wolf pack, she is forced to accept it, but nothing in the supernatural world comes for free.

Jesus Christ.
Revisado: 04-09-24
Jesus Christ, is the narrator trying to make her have an accent or talk like a baby? because half the time she sounds like me (someone with no experience speaking with an accent that isn't shorthorn) and the other half it's like she's a 3 year old.
also, how thick is this narrators saliva because geez. All I could hear is a dog eating peanut butter when we opened her mouth. yuck.

story is extremely messy
Revisado: 03-28-24
The story is extremely messy, but even worse, the narrators can't keep up with pronunciation. For instance, the guy named Ransom (spelling?) is called "random" multiple times. On every page there's at least one wrong pronunciation. Sometimes 5. It's seriously annoying. "Ky ky" also went from ky ky, to "ke ke" because the narrators are so bad. Heather Costa is usually really good but this is terrible. the dude is 1000x worse though.
